Better still... The email I got from Amex today says that if you buy tickets during the Amex prebook period, you get a free programme (one per ticket)... I can happily confirm this is true! A happy addition to my ugly lies beneath the bone ticket. The Amex decision over membership is proving to be a wise one so far.

It's a province kind of weekend! Friday Night is Peter and the Star Catcher in Northampton, followed by the Saturday matinee of Greese in Leicester for me.

Just discussing this show with some friends who also saw it. Is it eligible for the Oliviers? I felt that the lighting and projections in particular deserved some sort of nod. I assume it would be eligible? As In the heights was and its part of the same complex?

I was there this afternoon too and second all this. Set, design and cast all excellent. This has not just been made for a few weeks stint and should and will be seen in the West End shortly I feel.

I really enjoyed this at Salford Lowry last night. Thanks stevejohnson678. I had completely forgotten I booked a ticket for this ages ago for tomorrow afternoon until you prompted me about it being at the Lowry. The perils of box office collection!

I'm somewhat trepidatious about seeing Hair at the Hope Mill next month. It is a very small space! Danny Baker includes an anecdote in his first autobiography about his sister taking him up west for the first time to see Hair. Sitting in an aisle seat in the stalls the young Mr Baker was a little perturbed when the cast disrobed, came down from the stage to sing and dance. When a male actor stood next to him, he stared straight ahead not knowing where to look! So he can’t be sure but something touched his cheek as the actor span round! Hope you enjoy the show! (Like most of Danny’s stories best not thought about too much). This was recreated in the tv series of the book on the BBC this year or last. Which I found rather too amusing.

Got my first email for Amex priority this morning. And was probably far too excited at it. 24 hour advance on general sale. Not bad for a free card. Planning on a trip to Dublin Old School as a result I think!

Were there trailers etc first or did it just start? I'm ready for bed already so think it unlikely I'll make 10pm! I can doze I suppose... Only trailer we had was for the entertainer live screening then it started.

You know your theatre hobby has reached new heights when your applying for a credit card just to get some sort of priority.

I'd like think Hull New is an outside possibility. It's currently in the middle of an extensive 18 months refurbishment to enable it to take larger tours, new bigger fly tower, enhanced space backstage etc all thanks to Hulls year as Capital of culture next year.

So turns out this wasn't the car crash I was expecting after reading everything on here. I think my expectations were lowered so much.beforehand that I took it for what it is. Sure it's not the original but for those who don't know any different it's a good night out.

In march I made an on the day decision to see The bodyguard in Sunderland, train, hotel and everything.
I enjoyed it so much, I made the decision to repeat my trip and saw that Ghost was playing there in September so took the plunge.
This Friday evening I find out whether that was a wise decision or not.

Wanted to draw attention to this as an adopted Hull resident. Announced as part of the first 3 months of Hull's year as capital of culture 2017. www.hulltruck.co.uk/whats-on/drama-comedy/the-hypocrite/#show-detailsBeing produced by the RSC and Hull Truck Theatre The Hypocrite is a riotous comedy from award-winning playwright Richard Bean, whose hit One Man, Two Guvnors was a runaway West End and Broadway sensation, inspired by the infamous moment in Hull’s history which started the English Civil War.

Returning to Groundhog Day for the second time for the Saturday matinee on the 17th. Unusual for me to revisit but had to see it again before it closes at the Old Vic.

I recently got frauded through PayPal, so my account is limited because they think I'm the guilty party despite many emails and calls telling them I'm the victim.
However the worst thing to come from this is I can't even order my badge! I will find a way round this! PayPal will not win!
