Fun fact - ALW considers Love Never Dies (title track) the best song he's ever done If you are new to LND, I suggest Til I Hear You Sing / Love Never Dies YES the story is iffy but the music is faaaab Truly epic and romantic, the Sierra and Ramin recording has been a favourite of mine since it came out 10 years ago. Although I must admit I only ever listen to the songs below!

^Comparing to the Amick Byram version, Amick's voice is much more rich, mature Luke's voice is too clean, articulate, soulless.

Listening to All I Ever Wanted... Luke Brady cannot sing. Also, there's no emotion to his voice at all. Yikes!

My least favourite part was when Tweety Bird got lobbed across the stage.
Davidsen - fantastic. Butt Philip - unremarkable. Pappano - on great form (as always).
The second act was a CHOICE. Overall a very meh night at the opera.

Out of the 5/6 times I've booked to see Kaufmann, he's only turned up twice, and one of those was because it was his own recital.

Yes very strange IT infrastructure indeed!
Doesn't make any sense to have to log out of your account, find a specific page, click a specific link and then relog into your account to purchase Entry Pass tickets..
Also, it was annoying before when it would show "sold out" to young people for all performances, with no option to purchase any tickets at all; when oftentimes there were many many tickets available, just no Entry Pass tickets.
Sort out your website NT!

Why did they change the Entry Pass booking system? So unnecessary, rude and homophobic

At the interval at Butterfly tonight a couple next to me AND a couple behind me left because they didn't know it would be in English lol
"Did you know?" "Wasn't expecting that" "Did you see anywhere it said it was in English?"
I wonder how often this happens at the ENO

City of Angels didn't land for me. I was desperate to love it; I guess I was expecting too much from SUCH a stellar cast.
It was just a bit flat to be honest. Reading previous reviews, this was supposed to have been a hilarious evening, but I laughed maybe three times total.
Standout moment was With Every Breath I Take performed by (queen) Rosalie Craig. I spent the rest of the show bald.
Rebecca Trehearn was also a delight.
3/5 stars. I don't know if I'll be back.

I was there yesterday. It is indeed fantastic, doesn't feel like 7 hours at all. Full standing ovation at the end.
5 stars. I am sure there are many deep, academic things to say about this production, but I won't articulate them here. It is the kind of play you could watch over and over and keep discovering something new (in part due to its length). But the play is detailed in a GOOD way, not in the superfluous artsy fartsy way that many modern directors do (and make you roll your eyes at).
Somehow the play manages to blend the nuclear bombs and opera and AIDs and the Holocaust and much more, and it works!
Make sure to bring food or know where to dash off to nearby as the main interval is only 45mins.
Seemed to be quite a few empty seats yesterday, and I see there are a lot online. If you are on the fence about booking, make sure to snap tickets up as methinks once the reviews are out, those tickets will be gone.

So, Luisa Miller was unexpectedly great. Fantastic cast. With different staging this could have been a real smash hit.
A rare enjoyable evening at the ENO.
QUESTION: why the phuc does the ENO use balloons in like EVERY production?

Got a standing ticket for this last night, a steal!
I do love standing, as the view is perfect, no chance of a tall person in the way.
You Will Be Found - a stand out moment in the show. I blinked a lot so I didn't cry, probably looked like I had a weird twitch.
Went into the show blind (except for knowing Waving Through a Window). Very interesting story wise, don't think there is anything quite like it. Evan Hansen becomes quite an unlikeable character though, I spent most of the time thinking - not another lie!, Evan you silly cow.
A lonely white twink with social anxiety - we love relatable content! 4 stars

I suspect the clips online of his previous Ring Cycle in Hannover from 2011 may not reassure you Oh good god Why can't these directors just stick to the source material. They are so indulgent and self-important coming up with this sh*te. Give us our full gods and goddesses FANTASY Modernity has no place in opera

2.5 - 3 stars. I guess it's an impossible feat to live up to the film. Day ticket tonight £25 stalls W23 Happy to see Debbie Kurup in the cast! Audience didn't seem to respond well to the new songs. Barely clapped for those. The new songs seemed quite anti climactic(?) I think the leads just don't have the X factor. No shirtless Moses - a shame. One of the gays in the ensemble has a very obvious trendy haircut, whilst everyone else had more appropriate hair, was out of place. Very very bare set. Was not a fan of those square blocks being used for EVERYTHING. Hello
