86 is a pretty decent age and he leaves a legacy of great comic writing and performing

I'm so sad, he has brought me so many laughs over the years. One of the greatest gag tellers in the world. You only have to look at the outpouring of love and affection from all the comedians today to get the measure of the man. Extraordinarily kind.

Pretty much knew and worked with everyone. Still active up to the end. I'm surprised he hadn't filmed his own tribute as when any comedy star of note died Barry was nearly always asked to film a tribute.

Just looked at Tall Paul's Link. The Episode of the Good Old Days not only includes Barry but also John Inman and Barry Howard in their drag/ugly sister double act.

I highly recommend the film Barry co-wrote, Bloodbath at the House of Death. It stars Kenny Everett and Pamela Stephenson with a whole host of familiar faces. It's on Netflix and it's the most I've laughed at a film for ages.
