No use of the Seine thus far. The athletes are processing down the Champs Elysee onto the Place de la Concorde. All very efficient thus far Maybe they have learnt their lesson about having an aquatic opening ceremony. This has been planned for years. No way would they be stupid enough to put Paralympic athletes of very diverse abilities anywhere near boats and water. So no, they haven't had to learn lessons.

Not only did Channel 4 advertise the wrong times for the closing ceremony of the Paralympics, we now have a cretin jabbering over the top of everything that is being said: the first section was repeated in English, why can’t they have a bit of respect and just run things with subtitles rather than having this sub-Alan Partridge wannabe just plough on rather than sitting in silence for a few minutes? Don’t tell us to listen to the crowd then just carry on regardless
