Incredible that nobody is discussing this- I thought it was great, and really nice to see the Lyric full last night. (Spotted Tamsin Grieg at the bar and in the audience. I wonder what she made of it). Sophie Melville gives as good if not better a solo performance as the ultra praised Jodie Comer in Prima Facie. This play is also a much better one that PF, exploring issues of social injustice and putting a white working class unemployed woman full of anger in the centre. It really made me think afterwards. Highly recommended.

I saw this a couple of weeks ago and hoping to go again before it closes next weekend. I agree about the comparison with Jodie Comer. Sophie Melville is extraordinary in this and it's a more nuanced, thoughtful play than Prima Facie.

I posteded this in the random reviews thread last week or so Iphigenia in Splott - Lyric Hammersmith I think this might be the Lyrics first real across the board hit in a while, great reviews have been rolling in and it lives up to them totally. Sophie Melville gives an absolute powerhouse performance and brings us all along on her journey. I won't go into spoilers but the story works and leaves the sense of rage and betrayal and despair, one of those plays with an impact still obvious on the audience as we all streamed out. Top work from all.

Saw it in the Red Box (Shed) at the National. One of those powerful plays that stays with you and chose not to see again in case the impact became diluted.
Been following Sophie ever since, her performance with Erin Doherty in WOLFIE at Theatre 503 a few years back was phenomenal, two (future) Theatrical greats in one of the smallest spaces in London made for an indelible afternoon.

Yes I really enjoyed this too. Definitely the best thing I've seen the Lyric this year by far and generally one of my top shows from this year.
