The director Philip Prowse will be 85 this year. He was due to direct Greg Hicks in Death in Venice at the Arcola but Covid intervened and it hasn’t reappeared yet - I hope it does. He’s a director whose work you could always identify immediately - a very distinctive visual style. Those huge dead horses crashing down onto the stage in Phedre with Glenda Jackson at the Old Vic ….
I’m just putting this over here to remind people of him.

I’m just putting this over here to remind people of him. Not the director or show you were hoping for, but Greg Hicks will be at Arcola in Nov/Dec, starring in Frank McGuiness’ “Dinner With Groucho”.
