What a bizarre clip to use! I love Carolee but I don’t think this is a good scene to film for promo.

Since when did ‘Girl Power’ mean women belittling/insulting other women? If this is the work of the new PR company the producers have hired,I’d say they may have made the wrong choice.
Clearly they’re hoping a clip featuring CC might put more bums on seats, but the extract of that song is the equivalent of nails down a blackboard.
The powers-that-be must have taken the unilateral decision to hide the names Bialystock & Bloom from the list of producers on this show.

Since when did ‘Girl Power’ mean women belittling/insulting other women The main problem is that this excerpt is deadly dull and unfunny. Why not use an excerpt of "I know you" where the Stepmother and the Queen tear into each other cheekily and as equals?

Linedy Genao put on Instagram that she had an audition yesterday... this surely means that Bad Cinderella isn't going to last much longer?

What have the public done to deserve any of the existing professionally filmed shows? Whoosh Oh, so you've meant your previous comment as a joke? As in 'what have I done to deserve such cruelty'? {Spoiler - click to view} I'm sorry, not being a native speaker makes it hard for me to get some things sometimes. Actually, I had to google 'whoosh', and only after I've read the definition at urbandictionary has it all finally made sense to me... or so I believe.

Wouldn’t read too much into the SM team releasing that clip. They post absolutely constantly so it’s really one of millions and I expect minimal thought or intent went in to it.
Though I agree there’s much better clips!

In a way I think it’s more important for short lived shows to preserve them. Otherwise 10/20/30 years later, sometimes it’s like - did that really happen? (Plus while it is there, NYC is an expensive and far away place for repeat visits…)

Definitely an element of snubbing involved when two shows that have long closed get nominated for Best Score above BC (although I'm happy that Almost Famous got acknowledged; I love that score more than most new shows of the season).

I wouldn’t be surprised to see “ZERO TONY NOMINATIONS” plastered on the theater by tomorrow evening.

Honestly they've lost credibility and relevance at this point. I remember when Sunset revived a few years ago and it also received 0 nominations, which was ridiculous. I can see some of the snubs, but surely some of the performers/performances; set, lighting design deserved some recognition. And sorry/not sorry - I haven't seen the show, but still enjoy the score that ALW could've at least been acknowledged.
I for one hope they do film it. If they did By Jeeves, why not?

Not really. Closed shows often receive nominations. Tony nominators are obligated to consider the whole season, not just shows that still are running. Lots of nominations for plays that long closed as well.
And it always makes me chuckle when awards are said to have lost relevance because people's favorites did not get nominated. If they are not very relevant than why care so much?

I didn't say that - I don't like (Bad) Cinderella much, I thought the book was awful (and nothing was fixed on the way to Broadway) and the lyrics are banal and trite, which I think may have cost them the "score" nomination. I "care" as much as I care for the Tonys every year, namely hardly at all. Though in fact I've been paying a bit more attention now because I'm in New York in June and have to decide whether to book some shows ahead now or wait for TKTS/Discounts, which may be tricky if shows that sell badly right now, clean up the major awards and get a boost that sees them disappear from TKTS for a while. I just find the complete snub towards the show and ALW very obvious this year; just as chernjam said above, at least a few minor ones like costumes should have been possible.

It's been a busy season with a lot of new shows and prominent revivals so the competition across all categories is fierce. Nobody's entitled to a nomination based on their reputation or previous work. You've gotta come up with the goods! BC clearly failed to do so.
