Pity it's not the Sarah Ruhl's play Neil Bartlett's adaptations of Dickens have been fantastic. Respectful of the source material but gloriously theatrical. I'm looking forward to this. He has a new adaptation of Jekyll and Hyde coming up at Derby Playhouse and Queens Theatre Hornchurch too which should be interesting (I've yet to see a stage version that's really worked of this). www.queens-theatre.co.uk/whats-on/show/jekyll-hyde/

The row behind also has £10 seats with seemingly no restrictions (and right next to seats that cost 8 times that!)

I've gone for second row, bit of a side view but I remember how bad it was that time I sat in front row with a very high stage and maybe second row is slightly better...still £10 so either way, good value...

Went for £10 front row myself. Even if it’s a high stage, at that price you can’t really go wrong!

Row BB is 69£ now during previews and 79£ during the regular run, although the seats at the far side are still 10£

Really enjoyed this tonight - 90 minutes of great entertainment that didn't leave me bored even for a single minute. I loved Emma Corrin, who brought a mix of charm and youthful vulnerability to their role.
For those who are wondering about the high stage warning, I sat center front row and had a perfect view. The stage is so low I don't think it needs a warning at all; nothing was cut off from view. I'd say it was at about the height of my shoulders when I was in my seat.

Very glad I took a chance on those £10 front row seats - they are *great*. Enjoyed this last night, but it is a bit bonkers! We start with 9 Virgina Woolfs on stage and narrating. It gets pretty meta with a lot of references to the audience and to telling the story and changing clothes. Some good laughs and a good, funny, start when Corin appears. A lot of imagination gone into adapting the book
They are pretty good and well supported by the various Woolfs taking on many other roles as we go on. Corin really comfortable on the stage, I had liked Anna X last year but was pretty far at the back, this time, it was clear they made eye contact with I suspect every person in the front row during the show at least once as well as working to the audience behind. Really quite noticeable, especially as they often did it while changing clothes!
A few prop errors, dropped fans and notebooks and some slight amusement at that but no other hint this was in previews.
It's a fun adaptation, reaction was reasonably muted I would have said. One bow, no-one standing up and no return to the stage after. I have no idea how it'll review but at £10, we had a really good night. My better half described it as 'bonkers' with a grin on her face, that worked for us.

Watched this earlier tonight and really enjoyed it! The main draw for me was Emma Corrin but I was also very intrigued by the text itself, which I wasn’t familiar with. Seemed very modern for its time!
Was really blown away by Emma Corrin. They burst onto the stage with such confidence, and what follows is a funny, flirtatious and totally engaging performance that doesn’t let up for the whole 90 minutes. Completely agree with Dave about all the eye contact they make with the front row - loved it!
Is the central performance stronger than the text itself? Probably. But it’s a really fun play that, actually, I think would work better played out as a whole TV series. I’m also keen to read up more on how Virginia’s real life experiences informed the writing of the text as I think there’s even more I could have got out of it had I understood the context a bit better. But it’s very enjoyable for what it is and the whole cast are wonderful.
Mostly, though, this has solidified my view about Emma Corrin being one of the most exciting young actors of this generation. I thought they were outstanding in The Crown and was so pleased that they were equally as brilliant in this, which is obviously a very different type of role. Totally magnetic from the moment they walked on stage and I heard lots of people say similar on the way out. (Incidentally, no standing ovation - or at least none that I was aware of from the front row! - but the audience did seem to enjoy it and there were second bows.)
I was front row and centre in the stalls, too, with those fantastic £10 tickets. Agree with what everyone has said about the low stage. Not a restricted view in the slightest and I wouldn’t have picked anywhere else to sit. There are moments where the actors, especially when they’re crouched down, are literally a couple of feet away from you. Such fantastic value for a tenner! Would recommend those seats to absolutely everyone.

I saw the matinee today - echoing what others have said, the £10 front row seats really are very good.
I thought this was quite fun, though to me it felt a bit more like an extended skit than a full-blown play. I thought Emma Corrin was great, and there were some other nice performances too.
If I’m honest, as a production it was perhaps a little light and “lo-fi” for my taste - I thought it felt a tad overexposed on the Garrick stage. But maybe that was just me. The pal I went with liked it a lot, and it seemed to go down pretty well with the audience…
