Even the bits that were later shown to be true?

Even the bits that were later shown to be true? PopBitch is NEVER true. People want it desperately to be true coz they are allowed to read a board that seemingly is insiders gossiping. This was true 15 yrs ago but now it's basically Heat magazine.

My parents saw Julie Andrews in Austira when she was filming a Sound of Music Christmas special back in the 1980's. When someone asked for an autograph she stuck two fingers up at the crowd. So it wouldn't surprise me if she was a bit divaish.

Haven't found any thread for this so will just start one, but if there is one feel free to move my post over there. Anywho, I've just read on another theatre foru that test screenings took place this past week and apparently it didn't go over too well, the main reason being Lin Manuel's rapping. Which I accept as this film shouldn't have a sequel in the firstplace, let alone with rapping rather than classic musical songs. I get the sense Lin could be at risk of becoming Anne Hathaway-ed where there is so much of him at once people may begin to tire of his stuff. Thoughts?

PL Travers wrote eight Mary Poppins books so there’s plenty of scope for sequels...

If there are seven sequel books, maybe each could be a different musical style if the next is rap. I suggest: rap, ska, punk, country, disco, techno and finally ending with mime.

He’s hardly overexposed, this is his first major film role

I think Emily Blunt is the perfect choice for Mary, and I love that they've been able to get Dick Van Dyke and Angela Lansbury in small roles as well, but I still remain hugely sceptical about this sequel. Mainly because I've seen the original film more times than I can count! But let's see what the end product looks like 😁

Ben Whishaw was talking about this on Graham Norton R2 this morning. He plays the little boy as a grown up aged 30. There a crisis in the family and MP returns to resolve it.

He’s hardly overexposed, this is his first major film role I didn't say he was overexposed, but he could run the risk of becoming overexposed. Yes its his first major movie role, but Hamilton is everywhere, especially in America where the Cast Recording and Mixtape both topped the charts, so the public are aware of him, he is being given every award under the sun except for the Oscar, he is very much well known now. Personlly speaking, I hope that he eventually tries out other kinds of music, because for me, if he is rapping in this too, the act is kinda getting a little old. Of course, that is me personally, but I can understand why some may not respond well to it both on a story basis and the fact its all he can seem to do in terms of singing.

If he raps, I don't want to know anything about this film. Why not just get a copy of the original film and piss all over it, it's cheaper!
