It would be interesting if Groff and Radcliffe played both Charlie and Franklin. Easier for Groff perhaps, but a good way to boost ticket sales if you need to see it twice.

Clever idea, but it might be hard to see this show once if the current buzz unleashes the ticket sales potential. My guess is that obscurity of the title will keep the masses from snatching them all up despite the starry cast, but it is hard to say.

Noticed tickets are $145. For THAT production? It massively comped in the West End

Noticed tickets are $145. For THAT production? It massively comped in the West End That production didn't have the wildly famous and Box Office draw that is Daniel Radcliffe. Nor was it in a shoebox-sized theatre, which NYTW is.

Tickets went on sale earlier today and they were all gone within 20 minutes.

Tonight was the first time I’ve failed at a returns queue. Hamilton, Hello, Dolly! Etc, Always managed but there was 6 tickets sold to the returns queue and I was unlucky 7. Debating to try again tomorrow or not…

Debating to try again tomorrow or not… Were you eventually successful, Mark? What time did you get there, please? I tried again the next day and was successful! Was third in line (ticket 5), and arrived at 1pm. Got my ticket at around 5:30pm. Two more tickets were sold behind me. Worth every minute and thought it was a brilliant production, with a wonderful cast.

Sounds like a repeat of the London reviews. I believe the highest number of 5 star reviews in West end history. I loved this show in London and saw it many times at the Menier and west end.

Sounds like a repeat of the London reviews. I believe the highest number of 5 star reviews in West end history. And yet, amazingly, it ended up papering when it ran in the West End. I loved it, too - remains one of the best musicals I've ever seen.

This is what will win Jonathan Groff his Tony. He’s just so good in it.

I'm absolutely desperate for this to get a Broadway transfer. Getting tickets to this NYTW run looks like a nightmare.

In terms of theatre, The James Earl Jones Theatre would be my guess if it did transfer.

The run has been sold out for a long time, but a few people get in daily via returns. And a few seats are available for the closing benefit performance.

I assume Radcliffe has other commitments so they can't transfer in the Spring.

I sent a letter to Santa asking for a better set and a larger orchestra in the transfer and since I have been a very good boy, I expect this to happen.

I hated the set and costumes in London. Surely there were better options for youngish New Yorkers than orange and brown polyester in the sixties and seventies. So clichéd.
