I’ve just fast forwarded through all the filler. It was worth it for Adam Peaty’s bum waggling. AJ was also good. Everyone else? Meh.

Tom Fletcher and Amy Dowden have both tested positive for COVID and won’t be performing this Saturday. But sounds like they will be back the week after. Probably due to those 2 anti vax dancers risking the show. How so? Each couple practices in isolation from the rest. Tom has just spent 3 weeks in arena’s across the country, how many germs is that? His immune system must be at rock bottom; training in the day, an hour long sound check for McFly ‘Total Access’ fans before every show (please don’t ask me how I know this 😬) a super energetic 100 minute performance every night then getting home so he’s there to see his kids the next morning. It’d take more than a few Berocca’s to counter that fatigue!!! So highly unlikely that its anything to do with Anti-Vaxxers and far more likely a result of someone working too hard and trying to get on with their life.

I think he's probably more likely to have picked it up from his children now they're back at school than have got it from Strictly.

Bit late reporting as was away when it was broadcast so only caught up on it last night. Low marks and the beginning and high marks at the end, slightly over marked for 1st show but heading in the right direction. Really enjoyed Kai and that mouthy lady, Johannes and bake off man and whats more to say about Peatty's bum!

Here we go. 2nd show.
What's going on with Rhys' mouth? He wasn't singing along but was making some strange mouth movements. Very strange and quite distracting.

Call me shallow, but I'm completely in lust with Adam Peaty and am most disappointed he's wearing more clothes this week.

Didn't Graziano have time to dry his hair before coming on stage?
Tess is getting worse each year. Far too gushing to the contestants.

Nearly fainted from shock at seeing decent footwork - well done Sara! I should be annoyed at the amount of faffing around but what she did dance was so well done.

Robert and Dianne were undermarked for their tango
Tonight really showed that proper music helps the dancers.

Judi Love to go. Her dance was a mess and very overmarked.

Judi is far more entertaining than Dan Walker who is a personality free zone

Judi Love to go. Her dance was a mess and very overmarked. It’s all getting a bit cliched isn’t it. Woman of large proportions doing sexy Latin dances, ho ho ho, Craig Revel Horwood likens to her to drag last week and they all wet their knicks over her twerking this week. It’s all very Alison Hammond / Lisa Riley again although I think both of those were better dancers than Judi.

It must be annoying for these women to become so stereotyped.

Laughing at fat people is something that needs to stop. Strictly have been playing up to this trope for years.

Thank god for BBCI Player! When I do catch him as I "fast forward" through the waffle I must say Anton is so much better as a judge than a rather embarrassing professional dancer - especially in the group dances. He's positive in his criticism, obviously knows what he's talking about, gives helpful suggestions and compliments the professional's choregraphy - something the other judges tend to forget. Altogether a nice chap. Last year Anton was annoying, gushing over everything, telling them all how fabulous they were, but this year he seems to be doing less of that and actually giving his opinion, good and bad. He's much better when it's all dialed back.

Opening dance tonight made my cry. Romantic in all possible combinations. That is what representation and inclusivity means.
Beautiful

I can’t warm to Dan Walker at all. His Alpha Male competitive nonsense would be fine if it wasn’t for his pious superiority. Hopefully his little cock up will refocus him and knock him down a peg or two.

First two dances of the night have been poor.
A content free Charleston and the stiffest foxtrot full of flaws.
Dan Walker needs to go.

Mmm, Judi does seem unable to transfer weight between her legs/feet.

There's a lot of musical movies chosen for this weeks Movie theme.....I hope that doesn't mean we won't have a Musicals week?

There's a lot of musical movies chosen for this weeks Movie theme.....I hope that doesn't mean we won't have a Musicals week? They always do that. Makes sense really given most musicals are more geared towards dancing. Rose's Foxtrot was stunning and I have serious dress envy!

Do the producers not like Adam? Rumba in week 3 is unfair on any dancer

Could we have some acknowledgement that Rhys has a background in street dance? No doubt he performed well but he was dancing a style he has trained in before. That is an advantage. Not a disqualification but it should still be known and taken into consideration.

I think with some of the other high scores this week that AJ was a bit under marked by Craig. I'm not sure it's right she's 4th (?) on the board at the end of the night.

It was a great paso. On top of the opening number, it was a great night for men dancing with men.

I can't warm to Giovanni. Something seems off about him to me each year. Maybe it's just me but the last couple of years there has been this air that he doesn't feel comfortable with his partner somehow.
