Let's put it this way, one was like New York, the other like London. 🙂

I guess most of us here wouldn’t know. What were your thoughts about their performances? Who was your favourite and why?

I only saw Jemma Rix. Not having the budget to see the show more than once, I made a guess, whether fairly or not, that Rix's performance would be better because I assumed pop star Arena had been cast primarily as the 'big name' to get bums on seats, while Rix would have been cast on talent alone. No idea if I was right though.
Previously I posted of Rix's performance: she generally did well. I would have liked her to be a bit nastier. For example, in the 'Buenos Aires' number she was all about the bright lights, big city, whereas I wanted more "someday I will rule this city" steeliness.

A couple of clips to see Tina plus one of Jemma. One of the most underrated vocalists in my opinion .Remember seeing her in Notre Dame de Paris.
The clip of the 2000 singers in 'Argentina' has to be one of the most impressive performances i have seen.

I have not seen the show. Was just wondering. I know Jemma is very good actress. I do find in the clip she is not nasty enough. I was shocked this did not announce broadway cast transfer. Since two of them have been on broadway. I do wonder if Jemma did most of the shows if it would of not sold however. She did wicked for many years. I hate when singers take place of actress. Tina is very famous, she is as famous in France as she is in Australia. I am amazed she is not knighted. She is very world famous. How was Paulo who I saw in South Pacific. I do think Jemma is much better in Frozen. I also wish Sam in the uk best of luck.
Sorry for the odd structure of this post

Pretty much everything I remember about the production, including Paulo Szot's performance, is in that post I wrote back in 2019, which can be found here. Hope it helps. theatreboard.co.uk/post/303380/thread
