I’ve just completed a culture insights survey predominantly focussed on this show’s promotional material. This either suggests that they are still testing the water for a West End transfer or they wanted a British perspective on the Broadway production (which I doubt). The second question in particular asked how interested I’d be in seeing a) Anastasia, b) Frozen and c) Once on this Island (current revival). This is either to allow them to compare the tastes of those completing the survey or there is also scope for Once on this Island to come too?

They've posted a medley video featuring the 4 official Anyas there's so far (in order in the video: Spain, US Tour, Germany and Broadway). I think they're all really good! I'd be happy to see any of these productions.
Here's the video:

I think they've done an excellent job with their social media and commercials, overall. I love the final tagline, in a vast world we'll journey together. Of course their Arabic version is f*cked and misspelled, but overall it's a great little campaign. BTW - the Spanish cast is probably the most ridiculously good looking cast ever assembled.

I wanted to see Next To Normal too, because I'm a huge fan of Guido Balzaretti's, but the timing just wasn't right for me to see the show, what a pity.

Another European premier for Anastasia. The show will replace The Lion King at the AFAS Circustheater in Scheveningen, Netherlands.
Opening date is still to be announced but auditions will start next month.

I especially loved Jana Gómez as Anya but Carlos Salgado totally stole the show as Gleb, what a voice! Carlos is amazing! I saw him in Don Juan - El Musical twice. Once as Captain Centellas, and once as Don Juan (he was the understudy). He was also in the Les Mis ensemble. Love him!
I still haven't seen this, and I don't think I'm going to. There's something about it that just doesn't attract me.

Closing in March.
A two year run, not too shabby.

Knew it was going to announce its closure soon. Was worried was going to be before I got to see it again on my next trip over to New York. Luckily I’m seeing it again 5 days before it closes.

The closing announcement is trending on Twitter in the US.
EDIT: Yes, the stans on Twitter are in complete meltdown mode right now.

I imagine this is related to the US tour next year, as it was announced yesterday that it will play in Los Angeles.

Just saw this last night for the 2nd time on Broadway (1st show of this trip). It was fabulous. Not the most thought provoking night at the theatre, but hey, it’s a musical based on a 90’s kids animated movie. It was FAB U LOUS.
Glad to see it again as it announced it closure for the end of this week, not long after I booked my tickets.
Christy Altomare is a star. Really glad to have seen her again. Not sure if it due to the fact that she is now in the final week of a 2 year run, but she was even more emotional than when I saw it last year. Her voice just soars.
Cody Simpson is no Derek Klena, in fact last time I didn’t even see Derek Klena, so will change that to- Cody Simpson is no Kyle Brown (the wonderful easy on the eyes god like figure who I saw as Dimitry last year, and in the ensemble last night. The acting was done mostly with his arms which started to get annoying. The middle register of his voice was decent enough, but any high notes or low notes were just not good. I was surprised when he got to the final note of My Petersburg, that it actually came out sounding good.
The rest of the cast were also fantastic especially John Bolton and Lily (can’t remember the actresses name, and don’t have the playbill handy)
Also had the BCEFA collection, I’m a sucker for a signed poster, but they had 3 different ones on offer, I practically just handed over all my money, but and got the 3 posters and a signed playbil. Had to make my friend promise to slap me if I even thought about donating to charity at a show ever again.
Still a wonderful night, glad to have gotten the chance to see it again in the Great White Way

Saw this in Madrid last week and I really enjoyed it. Good songs, good performances looking forward to buying the Spanish soundtrack on CD (when it comes out).
The only negative for me was the screen use. Too much and too realistic. The final picture of an impressionist painting style is how the whole show should be.

Stage Entertainment who produce this recently released the German cast recording of the Stuttgart production.
I bought the CD as I love the score and mainly as I wanted to hear if the orchestrations had changed much since the Broadway premiere.
Was very disappointed to find they had used the Broadway CD orchestra and backing tracks and just added the German lead vocals over it (they did the same years ago with the German Wicked CD....)
Anyway, I therefore wouldn't be at all surprised if they do the same thing with the Spanish CD. In fact I'd expect it.
