I was thinking I hope Michael Gove has the same taste in soft furnishings...

It shows what a dire state our political system is in as with all the negative publicity with Boris and co that Labour are still behind in the polls. ( Sir Keir certainly has his work cut out)

( Sir Keir certainly has his work cut out) Labour party finished now, don't get elected by being less worse. Only the Tory party change the prime minister

How many polls have actually been conducted in the last week, particularly since the piles of bodies comment.
It's a bit too early to assume no effect.

Some fantastic trolling of the PM by the Sandhurst military band on his recent visit -

Johnson on the BBC yesterday
"I've given you the most important metric which is, never mind life expectancy, never mind cancer outcomes, look at wage growth."
WTF, not sure if it makes it worse but there is no wage growth only inflation.
Apologies for resurrecting an old thread but I find this disgusting and need to vent as this is abominable and needs to be seen and maybe someone can see another nuance that I cannot, sorry your mum died of a treatable cancer but not to worry at least you are earning more!

It’s always been clear that they don’t give a s*** about the people they’re supposed to represent, he’s just being open about it. The sad thing is people will still vote for them next time.

Actually, where the hell has he been? We are in a time of national crisis, shouldn't he be doing briefings on TV? Keeping us informed? I'm not complaining, I loathe and detest the man, but he really is failing at the bare bones of the job never mind the important stuff.

Just seen this. Wow. His days must be numbered if even the BBC is putting stuff like this out there now.

I watched his speech to see what all the fuss was about. He was talking about Peppa Pig & then lost his notes having no ide what to say.
Quite bizarre

I saw someone else's comment on this elsewhere and the gist of what they said was: Don't be taken in. He's an expert at distraction strategies: if there's something going on he doesn't want people to notice or he wants people to forget then he'll create a trivial story to draw attention from the important story.

I believe this technique is known as dead catting. Basically you drop a dead cat into the middle of the situation and everyone only talks about the dead cat. Not 144,000 deaths. For example. So I am fairly sure Peppa Pig isn’t the real story.

To answer the thread title, I bet he wish he was with Carrie Antoinette.
Listening to LBC on and off all day every presenter has been scathing of him, even the right wing/Brexit ones as were the callers who say they will never vote Tory again with him in the wheelhouse.
He will be gone, so will have plenty of time for holidays with Carrie Antoinette.

What are the chances that Boris gets a 'surprise' positive test so doesn't turn up for PMQ's today?

Times reporting that the UK will be reducing the isolation period from 7 to 5 days (after 2 negative LFTs.). Due to be signed off on Thursday Presumably this is to divert attention from the parties then... The science suggests this is incredibly risky, even with LFT testing. Following the science... Johnson Style

It's not like this is anything new. This is the guy who arranged to have a journalist beaten up as a favour to a mate. He was known as someone with no respect for the truth long before he went into politics, and his time as Mayor of London and as an MP showed that he was all about manipulation, deceit and a total contempt for the law. The people who made him party leader and the people who voted that party into power knew what he was, and they were fine with it.
