As we all have, I'm having a mental health breakdown. I was so looking forward to seeing a few shows on my April trip and now I'm canceling my June trip. When the Westend is back up, what should I see? I don't think I'll see any of the first performances, as I live so far away, but wonder what's on everyone's top 5 list.
Here's mine and they may not make sense to anyone but me:
The Drifters Girl Good Life of Pi & Juliette The Mousetrap

My last show before lockdown was Dear Evan Hansen so I'd like to resume with seeing that again.

I'll be straight back to Come From Away and Hamilton I think. And Les Mis and Wicked at some point as well.
Everything else really depends on when/whether productions are rescheduled.

I'd really like to get to an opening night, it should be a good atmosphere. I'm hoping to get to Wicked. I'd also like to get back to Les Mis and I haven't seen Dear Evan Hansen yet.

I'd like to get to an opening night but am not thinking in terms of specific shows - who knows what will return when, I'm guessing big musicals will be the last to come back. This is one time I'm glad I love most genres so a two hander play works for me as well as a huge musical if it's good. I've often wished I only liked one genre so that there might be a chance of seeing everything on the list but now the opposite is true as there will certainly be something that appeals in the first wave of openings.
If I were to post an idealistic view from ones that have been cancelled then: Indecent The Tempest Blood Brothers (with Lyn Paul returning, know it won't happen but this is idealised) City of Angels Choice Grenfell (not west end)

It's difficult, if not impossible, to tell, but... When I think about the plays that I didn't get to see and already had a ticket for before the lockdown, I think The Glow was the one I was most looking forward to. Mostly because I've read and heard all these wonderful things about the work of Alistair McDowall, and I've only seen All of it, which doesn't exactly seem like a typical Alistair McDowall play at all (although it was lovely!). So I would be perfectly happy with that being my first post-coronavirus play, and the Court being the first theatre I go back to, and it also seems sort of realistic, since the Court did announce that their productions were simply being postponed, but that they plan on bringing them all to the stage at some point.
There's also the 'unrealistic wishlist' scenario (in terms of who I would ideally love to see on stage and in the creative team during my first post-pandemic visit, although I don't really have an idea about what play I'd like that to include). And, of course, the most realistic scenario of all is that I'll simply buy a ticket to see the first thing that gets staged in one of the theatres I frequented before this 'new normal' started, because a) I really (really...) miss theatre and b) I'll be eager to support them.

No idea when things will go back and when I can or will be prepared to go back to the UK...from my planned trips in March/June/August I consider several shows as lost, they won't be seen again (like The Visit at the National, probably Leopoldstadt e.g.). Several won't happen as originally planned, like Sunday or Hello, Dolly!. The one show that I had limited expectations about, especially after reading this board, was Prince of Egypt. But now that I listened to the CD repeatedly, I weirdly really would love to see it for myself.

In all likelihood my first show will be a panto, assuming they go ahead.
Otherwise I hope my first show will be Austentatious, which due to it's improvised nature I'm hoping will he one of the first shows back.

I do hope that the Palladium Panto will happen this year. I've seen all of them for my birthday.

The Jermyn St Tempest was cancelled a couple of days before I was due to see it and they are intending to open with it. Tough to stay 2m away from the actors there though.

Well the last show I have booked this year will probably be the first one I see as the rest are for June, July and August. It will be Cilla in Birmingham towards the end of October. But I'm not holding my breath even for that one.

May not be the first, as my joy of cycling has been reawakened I will be looking to combine it with my love of Shakespeare.
Likely to be next spring at the earliest, a Friday evening performance at the RSC Stratford Upon Avon then a 2 day cycle to catch a Sunday evening performance at the Globe. Could easily be done in a day as only just over a 100 miles but might as well make a weekend of it with pub lunches and cafe stops on the way.

I really don't know. It all depends on when I can pluck up courage to catch a bus, a train, another bus, sit in a crowded theatre, and repeat home journey in reverse.

I will also be seeing a feel good show, very likely something I’ve seen before. I think Wicked would be a good shout as I love it so much. Maybe it’ll be easier in the early days to get tickets to shows that were previously impossible (although I’m not sure because of the likely significant reduction in capacity) in which case I’ll try to get to Harry Potter again. Also can’t wait to get back to the Almeida, so whatever they open with!

First London show will most likely be Come From Away, though during this lockdown period I’ve been really wanting to see Wicked, Mamma Mia and Mary Poppins as well. Reality I’ll probably go back to a regional venue like Bristol Hippodrome first. Although it isn’t exactly a small venue I don’t have to deal with public transport to get there, deal with just the theatre first and then build up to taking the train into London alongside seeing a show. Doubt it’ll make much difference but in my head it does so if that’s still the case than that’s the way I’ll do it

Hopefully start with Come From Away....
And then I’ll see everything I can. I recon when I add up ticket cost, meals out, cocktails, transport etc, I’ll have saved around £3-400 a month, so fortunate to be able to put that back in

I have to add City Of Angels to my list as I forgot that I bought tickets months ago for August 31st via TodayTix. Now if they cancel that show I'll reschedule. More importantly, will I be allowed to travel t London form the US in August without the quarentee restriction of 14 days. If I can do a week in London, I'm there.
As a person note, when I went to London in May of 2019 I got very sick. Never happened before. I thing it was the tree pollen that got me. I was so sick when I arrive back in NYC that my doctors were concerned.

At the moment I can't even pass someone on the other side of the road while out for a walk without feeling pretty anxious so I think it'll take quite some time to get at all comfortable being near people in a theatre again, let alone the trains & tubes that would be needed for London theatre, once theatres are re-opened. I can see myself booking the end of a row so I will a) not be surrounded by people & b) able to make an exit with the minimum disruption if I can't cope.

At the moment I don't know if the hotel will be open by the time I go to London.
I do know that I will see Sunday in the Park with George next year (credit note received), but I was booked for City of Angels and Hello Dolly for August as well. I think they will both be gone completely.
So ... if I get to London at all, I might try and see Wicked as I've never seen it before. HP&tCC is already booked for the Sunday of my proposed weekend. Not sure about anything else.

Am now at the stage where I am so desperate, I'll see whichever musicals open first!
But given the choice, I'll return to my tried and tested favourites. In the UK that's Les Mis and Phantom - both West End and tour - and the Bat Out Of Hell tour.
Otherwise Starlight in Bochum and the new productions of Cats and Miss Saigon in Vienna would be nice, but depend of course on international travel as well as my finances and work rota!
I have also just had Rent in Manchester re-scheduled so hopefully that will go ahead.
