Finally got round to watching Dopesick on Disney+, really brilliant series. Halfway through The Watcher on Netflix, it’s good, if a bit slow.

Treason a British spy thriller on Netflix starring Charlie Cox is not too bad and only five episodes of 50mins each so you can watch over a couple of nights.

YESSSS!! Hello fellow x-phile! Been obsessed with XF since I was 12, I love it! I'm on season 3 of my re-watch! Thank you Disney+ (even though I have them all on dvd, who can be bothered with those now!) I was just thinking I may need yet another rewatch of my 90s comfort show. Nice to see some fellow X-Philes on here! And me! although haven't re-watched it for many years. I don't want to subscribe to Disney so maybe will buy the DVDs (yes, I am one of those people who still buys them lol) Currently re-watching another favourite of mine, Battlestar Galactica, on BBC Iplayer. Still great, still love it!

I am most late to The Morning Show (Apple TV or plus, or whatever) but, holy smoke on a bike, I've got through it like Rambo Windsor on a Taliban patrol. It's a ride. Some wonderful characterisations, whip smart, wry, close to addictive, beautifully constructed. A real gem of its genre. IMO! It is a 20-hour commitment (one-hour episodes, 2 seasons x 10) but if you haven't been there yet, try stopping after the first 3 hours.
I believe S3 is in post-production and a handful of months away.

I am halfway through Welcome to the Chippendales on DIsney+
It's fantastic and the wonderful Murray Bartlett and Kumail Nanjani make it a must watch.

I challenge you to find a camper stagey video than this one. (Warning. Rude word in it!).

I may not follow the rest of the (first) season but episode 3 of The Last of Us (HBO, I believe), is some piece of work. Rather moving. I think you can call it a stand alone, though the wonderful Anna Torv is in all three.

I've just posted about Netflix's Lockwood and Co on the general telly thread but will mention it here too - very enjoyable. I haven't got round to The Last of Us yet because January was grim enough already.

Nolly in ITVx is worth a look.
Typical RTD stuff. Great central performance by Helena Bonham Carter
Lovely period detail and a great sense of what Crossroads was like ...

Helena Bonham Carter was brilliant. It probably wouldn’t have been as good with someone else. Also enjoyed Con O’Neill as Jack Barton. I was surprised as to how true the story was and the attention to detail was spot on. I watched the very interesting documentary afterwards as well.

I watched the very interesting documentary afterwards as well. Yes, I recommend the documentary "The Real Nolly" after you've watched the drama. Gives a good sense of context and exactly how important she was in the early world of TV.

I've just caught up with the first three episodes and thought that one had a depth lacking from the previous episodes. The first episode opened well with the catastophic event but then jumped forward into bog standard dystopian city and I did wonder if it was worth watching more, but the good reviews of ep 3 convinced me and it was worth sticking with. The production design is super and makes me wish we had a bigger telly, and that Netflix, HBO or whoever would pull their finger out and turn some classic 2000AD stories into TV series rather than the endless Star Wars and Marvel prequels and spin offs they're currently besotted with.

I'm old enough to remember Crossroads but didn't know about her early work and also about what she did after including Gypsy. I also remember that she and Larry Grayson were great friends for many years.

Yup, E3 is pretty original and striking, though the rest probably reflects the shows origins in computer gaming. Might leave it now for the less aged ..

The Last of Us episode 4 was disappointingly meh, sadly. I haven't played the game, but a series should stand on its own feet and I'm just not finding the storyline very original or the two protagonists all that engaging - morose man with minimal backstory and the girl who is meant to be 14 and surviving an apocalypse but comes across more like a chirpy 9 year old visiting Toys R Us. And it has such a bleak view of the human race that you wonder why the writers think it's worth saving

Just caught up with the deliciously performed Nolly, and the wonderfully named Augustus Prew keeping with Helena. yep lovely detail and observation - great stuff. it felt a bigger budget than those 80minute BBC4 or 3 biopics such as Helena as Enid Blyton that felt interesting but done on a shoestring.

I've just finished Extraordinary Attorney Woo on Netflix, one of the best things I've watched in a long time. Wholesome, funny, touching and thought provoking.
It's a K-drama (I watched the dubbed version) about an Attorney with autism. It's so well acted and written

Sorry my mistake, shouldn't have used abbreviations. Korean drama. Thanks. A woman I work with is obsessed with Korean stuff on Netflix. I'm relatively new to it myself. I loves Squid Game when it first came out and also loved Physical 100 (not a drama). Not Korean but also enjoyed Japanese Alice in Borderland and Run For The Money (game show). Extraordinary Attorney Woo isn't as dark as a lot of Korean drama, it's more like Ally Mcbeal or Ugly Betty in tone

A lot of the big name series of recent years are coming to an end this year and next. Is there anything coming up that you're looking forward to that looks like filling that gap?
