I know many people find Elaine Paige's laugh very annoying. Personally I find it hilarious. But did anyone catch her on her radio show on Sunday? She was trying to say "The Buskers Opera" and nearly said a slightly naughty word instead. I was listening to it on my headphones waiting for a bus and her laugh was so infectious and went on for so long I burst out laughting myself. Not to worry as I live in East London and slightly strange behaviour is quite the norm so no one took any notice of me chortling away to myself.

I heard that too, and like you found myself in fits of laughter!

What was the naughty word in question?

Utterly fake "laugh" and probably an utterly fake "stumble" from a fake radio presenter.

Now that I laughed at I didn't hear EP this Sunday, may pull it up on Iplayer. But her laugh does make me giggle as well, and I'm quite fond of the old gal as well.

The show is taped so I was stony faced (while painting my dining room wall) wondering why it hadn't been edited. My son walked into the room and looked at me listening to a woman gurgling with laughter and rolled his eyes at his Ma's choice of music channel.
I'm very fond of the show, enjoy EP's anecdotes ...
But!
Did you hear her talking about Sunset Boulevard a couple of weeks ago? Not a mention of Glenn Close but played the orchestral overture. Rude!

What was the naughty word in question? I'm pretty sure it was c*ckwomble.

Just heard it (almost a week late). Funny. Her laugh sounds like the older female squirrel from The Sword in the Stone.
