I got a cheap ticket for the Wembley leg of this tonight and quite enjoyed it really.
There was 6 previous characters, not celebrity but pretty good singers and dancers, and 2 new characters. They all did 2 songs each and there were a couple of group efforts as well. 6 very busy dancers.
3 judges, Davina, Aston Merrygold and Denise van Outen. All held together very well by Joel.
Clues were a bit more obvious as only had 2 sets each, but enough to keep everyone guessing. We had Duncan from Blue and Jacqueline Jossa who has quite an amazing voice on her.
Was quite surprised as to how well it transferred across and at times it did feel a bit like you're in your living room with your family argueing about who it is.
Crowd certainly enjoyed it and Joel said at the end that its coming back next year as well so must have been a success.

I like watching this show it's great fun, but agree about the adverts, there's way too many. I really liked Phoenix and I though Knitting sounded like Claire from Steps.

It’s a fun show but no need for it to be 90 minutes! A few of my random guesses are:
Knitting - Claire Richards from Steps Jellyfish - Paloma Faith Phoenix - Tom Felton (I thought it sounded quite like him in the video when he was talking, a bit less so when he was singing, though I know Tom Felton does sing).

Weirdly for Phoenix I went for Matthew Lewis or Alfred Enoch but Tom Felton is a good shout.

Someone elsewhere pointed out that 5+6+7+8 is 26 which is a reference to Steps' first single.

Cat and Mouse are Ade Edmondson and Jennifer Saunders - Picked her voice up a mile away and the spice rack felt like a reference to the Spice Girls, and specifically Viva Forever, which Saunders wrote the book for.
I thought Knitting was Cheryl Tweedy until the "add up to 26" clue, which is 5+6+7+8, which means someone from Steps.
Phoenix had Brian Conley vibes to me.

I know The Masked Singer filmed at the end of October so it does it. We can rule out H and Lee for Knitting. Claire matches the vocal more than Faye and Lisa.

I thought knitting was Jane Horrocks from the clues but not when she sung. Tbh I haven’t got a clue about any of the others.
But honestly when are they gonna replace the panel? Outdated, clueless and unfunny. I’m a BIG fan of the US version which is treated more of an actual talent show with massive stars on it but with a good amount of decent humour. The UK show is more like a total parody.

The girl in the pair is much smaller than J Saunders.

Going solely off the voice Jellyfish reminded me of Miquita Oliver. Other than that no idea.

With a bit of strategic planning you can avoid the adverts. I record it, and start watching when the actual programme is about half way through. By the time I've caught up and fast forwarded through all the ads, I'm virtually at the reveal before it gets announced on social media.

Going solely off the voice Jellyfish reminded me of Miquita Oliver. Other than that no idea. Michelle Visage was a popular guess on Twitter for Jellyfish, I don't know anything about her outside of her guest appearances on shows and the "me shell" clue felt way too obvious for Masked Singer.

The other steps clue was a single magpie being shown - one for sorrow - a steps song

I am only on the 2nd act of tonight but I’ve come here to say that jacket potato sounds EXACTLY like David Bedella, plus there was a Romeo & Juliet clue (& Juliet). Plus a clue about an angel, and he played the devil in Jerry Springer The Opera.
I don’t know who got eliminated yet so I’ll be back once I do to check that spoiler above!

Rhino is 100000% Charlie Simpson from busted.
I also guessed correctly the eliminated contestant tonight, I knew it as soon as they started singing.

I thought that was a very strange elimination. What criteria are the panel using when they make their decision, when objectively Piece of Cake sang far better than Rubbish? Lulu herself seemed a bit shocked to be the first one to go. It was almost as if it was rigged to go against her... The two worst singers (Rubbish and Pigeon) went head to head, where she was up against arguably the best performance of the evening (Rhino), and she was then eliminated when she was by no means the worst of the Bottom three...

I thought this week's were a bit harder to even make a guess for! I agree with others - Charlie Simpson for Rhino, he has quite a distinct singing voice (on the chance that it's not him then I'd say someone like James Bay / James Arthur). Emily Atack I thought was a decent guess for Pigeon.
I don't think they will tell us, but with regards to the judging panel - I'd guess that they choose to keep the people who seem like "bigger characters" and put on a fun performance, even if they aren't necessarily the best singers.

justfran yeah, seems to be a running thing of them going for ‘characters’ over talent. The guesses are kind of dubious too, like with the Blob a couple of series ago. The moment he started singing it was very blatantly obvious that it was Lenny Henry under the mask but the panel made out like they had no idea. I can’t stand James Arthur but the way Rhino sang, and his stance afterward, reminds me of him on the X Factor.
