I don't think anyone saw Joss Stone coming last year. We were both convinced, along with the rest of the country, that it was Sheridan Smith. I find it so funny how often she's predicted, she's got to do the show someday! I worked out Sausage was Joss Stone because of the looks like a horse clue as she was in The Tudors as Anne of Cleves.

I knew it was Joss Stone last year pretty early on. It obviously wasn't Sheridan Smith at any point, I know she has her fans but her voice isn't as strong as that.
I'm still going Mark Feehilly, Natalie Imbruglia, Aled Jones and Michelle Williams. Mushroom was my question mark, if it is Charlotte Church then she's amazing.

Charlotte would have the vocal range for Mushroom. It looks her type of curvy build too.

I remember someone on another forum thinking Sausage was Stacey Solomon and with no offence to Stacey but if she had Joss' voice. she would have won The X Factor.

I'm still going Mark Feehilly, Natalie Imbruglia, Aled Jones and Michelle Williams. Mushroom was my question mark, if it is Charlotte Church then she's amazing. I'm not claiming I knew it was Joss from the start, but I'd 'guessed' her around about half way through and it became more and more obvious by the end. The most obvious clue being the joss stick in the dressing room! It was never Sheridan. I'm sure Robobunny is Mark Feehilly based on the voice. Not sure about traffic cone, but Aled Jones is on my short-list. Michelle Williams is a good guess for Rock Hopper. It's the right build. I'm certain Mushroom is Charlotte Church based on her singing voice. The first couple of songs she was able to perform in a style very different to what we're used to and singing in an accent that isn't hers, but I think it was the 3rd week (Crazy) when some of the higher notes sounded a lot like her and it clicked for me. I know they aim to disguise these things, agree Mushroom's figure matches hers too. Not forgetting that she released a song called "Crazy Chick" and "Crazy" was her clue song. I think one of Mushroom's clues was about everyone being interested in her. I'm old enough to remember when the Sun did a count down to Charlotte turning 16. Some of the contestants are very, very good singers and while I appreciate that the judges deliberately give us dodgy guesses, we have to be honest that while someone like Sheridan Smith is a good singer, she's not as good as Joss Stone or Mushroom.

I've been convinced from the beginning that Rockhopper is Michelle Williams from Destiny's Child, mainly because they've referenced trios several times and made many references to Greatest Showman, which stars the actress of the same name. I've never been right with this show before! Feels good

I was right for both last night, woo hoo.
Sticking with Mark Feehily, Natalie Imbruglia and Charlotte Church for the final. They're also the three best singers so they deserve to be the last 3 standing.

I think you are right Robert. I can't say I get all of the clues, but based on past experience, some are tenuous and others more misdirection, so there's no point fixating on them. BUT, one of Mushroom's clues was about campaigning and addressing a crowd of 250,000 and Charlotte Church would fit for that.
In one of Panda's VT she had a barbie doll sticking out of her backpack instead of the bamboo. I don't recall anyone mentioning it, but that seems like a tip to her being Australian. And Natalie is tiny (as Dame Joan observed).

If it is Mark then how he changes his voice is impressive as I've said. I've not heard a lot of his solo stuff only the multivocals of his time with The Loife.
When Joan suggested the fellow Dame Kiri I did think it would be ironic if it was Hayley Westernra who was a modern day NZ soprano and around the same time as Charlotte but I think she is likely still down under.
I'm sure with Panda there was a clue about a sign pointing left one week and Natalie's debut album was Left of the Middle. Has there been anything to link to Johnny English, Torn or the fact her fictional son is now in Neighbours called Ned or even her becoming a mother a couple of years ago too.

Mushroom is 100% Charlotte Church. Clearly operatically trained and experienced, and my wife's a huge fan of the Off Menu podcast, on which Church was a guest a few months back and is evidently super into sustainability, foraging, nature reserves and the like.
I'm completely stuck on both Panda and Robobunny. There was a very clear "Year 3000" reference on Robobunny's last VT but it's impossible to imagine any members of Busted being able to sing like that, or any members of the Jonas Brothers agreeing to be on the show.

Part of the clue this weekend was about something being ripped, which I guess is another word for something being torn, at least that is the assumption I made at the time. :-)

The 3000 reference was perhaps to obvious to be one of Busted. Did James Bourne have a good vocal range as it cannot be Matt Willis and if it was Matt and Emma then I've never known that she could sing.

There is no way that ANY of Busted could sing like RoboBunny!

Good guesses there - maybe I’m not into music that much but I really haven’t recognised many of the voices so far, peppered with the red herring clues.
Good job I am happy just to admire/objectify hunky Joel filling his sharp suits very well, and spinning/jumping around a lot with corny jokes.

I have never been and never will be a fan of Joel Dommett, but I'm so happy with the exposure this show has given Mo Gilligan, who has always been delightful and hilarious.

Mo's profile has certainly been raised and doing Masked Singer likely lead to him getting Brits presenting gig.

There is no way that ANY of Busted could sing like RoboBunny! That suggestion gave me quite a laugh. I was quite into my pop in the days when Busted were popular, and their live singing was always a bit painful. Granted, it is possible they deliberately sang badly because they were proper rebels and being in tune is for swots etc. I think Charlie might have been vaguely capable of holding a tune if he put his mind to it, so I don't want to mock Davina for saying he sings well on his recent solo stuff, but there's no way he was hiding Robobunny's singing ability.

Charlie sings just fine, but certainly not like that.

My wildcard for Robobunny is Mika. Pretty much the only performer I can think of who can both sing in falsetto and has a profile just low enough to do the show in the first place.

Really enjoyed tonight’s show but Mushroom should definitely have won. I also thought Robobunny would be 2nd. Good family show for a Saturday evening.

I'm smugly sipping my red wine celebrating getting 3 out of 3 😁😁😁 Congratulations. I too would have put the winning order as Mushroom, Robobunny then Panda, but they were all great and got to sing all of their songs, so it doesn't bother me too much. As well as being good singers, all three finalists did a great job of switching up their singing styles and speaking voice to keep us guessing. I'm wondering if the kids in the audience would have been voting for Panda because she's cute and fun, but there must also be bonus points for keeping the panel completely confused.

I've enjoyed watching this series. From a consistency point of view, I too thought Mushroom deserved to win - as she gave the best performances. I think Panda probably did get more votes for being in character all the time and the mannerisms etc that she did. It was good to see some previous contestants back for the duets and nice to hear how much all of the celebrities have enjoyed doing the show in their post-reveal interviews. Round of applause to the costume team!

Well done to those who guessed them. Charlotte was pretty obvious, Natalie a fair few clues fitted in too and Mark with the final clues was obvioius. I thought Bunny or Mushroom would win personally.
