What does everyone think the set will look like? It's being done by Jon Bausor, whose worked on 'Bat Out of Hell' and 'The Grinning Man'. I'm surprised Terry Gilliam isn't designing it.Visions of cartoonish/Monty Python vibes but looking at Jon Bausor's past works including the Olympics opening ceremony he tends to go for distressed industrial. I assume Gilliam will give Bausor some notes on how he'd like the set to look. I imagine it will look something akin to either 'Brazil' or 'Baron Munchausen', which Gilliam has directed. Or it could be a blend of both cartoonish/Python visuals and distressed industrial.

Most of the centre stalls £150. I find it so frustrating when theatres give a price range plus "premium seats available" and then proceed to have all of the decent seats at that premium price. Just be up front. Tell people the actual prices. If your product is good enough the price will be justified.

Yikes. I'm going twice. Once to an early preview and then to the final performance - it had better be good

I’ve booked. Gone for £20 back of the top circle but central. Not sure if there will be a mad rush but at least I’ve got mine. For 360 days time!

Slowest website ever! I’ve been in the queue for about 15 hours so far.

Well so much for saying I wasn't going to book. I think the excitement of moving very slowly up the queue forced me to book once I got onto the website. The date I looked at was quite heavily booked but managed to get aisle stalls and the one next to it for £65 each. Plus as we are over 60 we got them for £30 each so I'm made up.

I have just got in in a minute 🤷 the 'from' prices being the child price is a bit cheeky and the requested donation of £10...a bit steep in my opinion, i know you didn't have to donate, but maybe if it was less more ppl would donate

Thanks for mentioning the £30 senior offer. I wasn't aware the Old Vic did this for matinees. Booked row E stalls which is the furthest forward currently available. The booking page has a section of "stage stalls" though not yet on sale. I wonder exactly where they will be ?

But then what about the rest of the run?

Booked yesterday, queue was slow, but I got number 56 at the start, so it took only a few minutes. Joined the queue again after booking and it was quite the same, so there weren't immensely long queues. Not like Moulin Rouge +12.00 anyway.

Booked for this for mid run and the last night :-) also grabbed some £10 seats for Bagdhad Café on PWC previews AND seats for Christmas Carol on Dec 23rd Matinee and seeing Moulin Rouge the same evening

Interesting - on a Twitter thread announcing that Gina Beck will share the role of Nellie in Chichester's South Pacific with Alex Young, Rebecca Caine mentions 'magic beans' - is this a ITW reference for this revival re Gina Beck possibly being cast...? Or something else entirely? Can't insert a screenshot here, here's a link... check out the Rebecca Caine comment in the thread...

I was wondering if this was a ‘theatrical’ reference to Gina Beck ‘expecting’?...although she would make a fantastic Baker’s Wife!

Interesting reference all things considered though lol! She'd be lovely!

Finally booked my tickets today. So excited to see what they do with this? Here’s hoping for a cast announcement soon! You can probably tell from my profile I’m an ITW fan...and have been a long time lurker to the board, so thought it was about time I signed up!

Maybe 'Boom Crunch' would be more appropriate?

Detective Drama Club makes me think of Curtains. David Hyde Pierce or Jason Manford.

Detective Drama Club makes me think of Curtains. David Hyde Pierce or Jason Manford. Please, on my knees let it be DHP But as who though? He can't play the Baker, or either of the Princes. I guess he could be the narrator but I get the vibe that this isn't going down the traditional route for casting - ie don't expect it to be lots of big West End names like the Regents Park production. There will be more crossover with TV actors who can sing I get the feeling.
