Does anyone have a photo of the understudies list from a very recent programme?

All the Sondheim tributes confirming his discretion in the rehearsal room when giving notes and offering advice to performers and directors are quite telling. Granted he wasn't a producer and wasn't putting up the money for productions, but he seemed to have a lot more respect for the creative process than some....

Does anyone have a photo of the understudies list from a very recent programme? Hmm I do but I am struggling to add a picture
Edit: nope, I give up. However I don't think they've updated the programmes yet, looking at the understudies in the gala one it lists Sophie Camble as 1st cover for Adele, for example, and it's now Leah Harris.

It all sounds very dramatic. The Sunset drama at least suited the show more than it does here

Nope still don't see my image and I promise I followed instructions. Maybe it's a Flickr problem? Nevermind. Edit: got it! Hurrah. It's still out of date though.

That doesn't surprise me in the least, would you expect anything less? He was (is?) a god after all.

Oh my god I never realised Gio was second cover Charming. That's hilarious, I can't imagine that at all :')

I actually caught Gio as Charming and he was good, though less of a booming presence than Caleb is. Charming is one of the roles I think might have been switched, cover wise, as going by the west end covers twitter Gio seems to have been on a few times more than Rodney's one show.

I saw him too, in his debut no less and I thought he was terrific, but then, as a Bat fan, I was also just happy to see him in the part and I have no one to compare him to. Would have loved to hear his version of the Sea Witch song.

I know him from a previous job and honestly am shocked he was re-hired in the industry, let alone in another major West End show... I do want to see a cover for Charming at some point though, just so I can compare how different people perform the role. Is it like the Stepmother's covers and forced to feel like a carbon copy?? I really hope not!

I really hope not! I saw the second cover and, although she was lovely, she was almost a carbon copy of VHB. I didn´t notice it was the understudy until I looked at the cast board at the interval.

Yes, so I've heard. I think it's a real shame. I normally love VHB but the stepmother character feels horribly over the top. I was hoping the understudies would have a fresh take, but I guess they're not allowed.

I was hoping the understudies would have a fresh take, but I guess they're not allowed. This early on in a run, an understudy would never be able to create their own take on a character. Its all about just slotting in and keeping the show going. Later on, maybe they can change a few little things here and there, but someone coming in for a performance and playing it differently would throw the show off completely.

Cast have gone quiet haven’t they? Where’s all the sniping? Has someone had a word?
CHF is busy plugging Nespresso coffees on her socials… maybe that’s why 😀

No one is making you watch someone's instagram stories. If you don't like a person, it is free to ignore, unfollow or block them....

The Lord and his muse were on Loose Women today according to Cinderella sm. Anyone tune in? Plug or damage control PR exercise? Did Andy have his bontempi out?

Plug - brief chat with the Lord and Carrie sang I Know I Have A Heart, not terribly well. ALW seemed in very merry spirits!

It just sounds like something from "Tell me on a Sunday".

Whoever is running their social media can't spell. They've done a mocked-up text chat between the sisters where they talk about a "purple broach". I'd love to believe it was a character choice and poking fun that the sisters can't spell, but I fear that is not the case.

OK positives....find some positives.... fabulous costumes, fantastic set particularly with the rotating stage for the ball, Rebecca Trehearn and Georgina Onuorah both sounded great.
I think that's it.
A badly written, overacted, tuneless mess of a show. A pantomime with a budget, delusionally believing itself to be something greater. Unfunny, crass, overlong, with only the faintest traces of ALW's former glory. I paid £39.50. I want the £39 back.

But otherwise you've hit the nail on the head....truly so terrible, almost offensively so. And it believes itself to be the most feminist thing ever...when every single woman hates each other. (Must not start a list of negatives we'll be here till 2023)
