She didn't do much in Act 1 really did she! Why can't she do a Janet or a Kylie and just have 30 songs on her setlist?!

More drama as Carrie gets her ‘hopefuls’ to sort out an eBay seller for her

What did Rob Houchen sing? Nothing solo, a duet from Dogfight and a group Disney song. There was another duet I think but I didn't recognise it 😁

More drama as Carrie gets her ‘hopefuls’ to sort out an eBay seller for her Why doesn't she report it herself? Surely that would have more clout than one of her 'hopefuls', with her being, you know, her 😁

I would’ve thought a message to the seller and they would’ve taken the item for sale down? I don’t understand the need to ‘name and shame’ people. This seller is getting a lot of hate on twitter.

The more I hear about Miss Fletcher the more I have come to dislike her. I have rarely seen anyone so desperate and self obsessed.

I'm not sure what the rolley eyes is about here?
Wouldn't you be annoyed? Plus the book is a proof version, as she said, it's not been released yet, which, again as she said, is a breach of copyright and putting something out there before it's supposed to be and was given out in good faith to people in the industry.
Also the reason she probably put it on twitter and asked others to report it was so it was more likely for ebay to take action.
I'm not a fan defending her, i've not got the album, read her books, watched any videos or and only ever seen her live in Addams Family once but i can't understand the vitriol against her for saying and doing perfectly normal things?

I'm not a fan defending her, i've not got the album, read her noo, watched any videos or and only ever seen her live in Addams Family once but i can't understand the vitriol against her for saying and doing perfectly normal things? It’s not really normal though is it? Would you get a few hundred of your friends to report this seller to eBay and stand by while the hate against them builds on twitter? Totally get the copyright thing but really don’t understand using her celebrity to ‘out’ people and encourage mob mentality against someone when a message to the seller might have had the same but low key effect. Sure the seller did a ‘bad thing’ but did they really deserve the ensuing vitriol which CHF encouraged knowing her loyal fans would have her back? The listing had 3 days to go. If it breached copyright then EBay would’ve taken it down with her reporting it alone.

Nope, it's reasonably normal. She might have had issues with eBay not taking her seriously in the past when she's reported things as an individual, whereas she knows now that multiple reports will have a faster effect. She didn't ask her followers to dox or swat the seller, she didn't find the seller plugging their auction on Twitter and use the quote-tweet function to encourage a Twitter pile-on, she simply explained what was wrong with the situation, and asked other people to report the listing to eBay. Doing it publicly also has the side-effect of educating her followers as to why this sort of thing is frowned upon, which is obviously more than a little preachy, but not out of keeping with her usual MO, and will probably at some point in the future save at least one of them from being ripped off buying her goods for far more money than they are worth. I'm very much with HereForTheatre here. I don't mind mocking people when they're being ridiculous, but I don't believe this is one of those times.

Well ok maybe reasonably normal in retrospect Baemax. I can understand her frustration. However I think what bothers me is that while CHF is not ultimately responsible for her fans and a twitter pile on after outing this seller I think we shouldn’t be naive to think she doesn’t know the impact her words will have and that the likelihood is that some fans will take it too far. Andy H I don’t think anything I said in the above posts contained ‘vitriol’ against her. While totally understanding her point I just don’t agree with her methods of dealing with it.

I'm very much with HereForTheatre here. I don't mind mocking people when they're being ridiculous, but I don't believe this is one of those times. As this thread demonstrates I LOVE me some CHF drama, but this was an entirely reasonable act. I assume she did report the post herself but also got others to. It's like, if someone here posts say a link to a bootleg, which we know isn't allowed. Well the mods might miss it because they're busy people. And if only one person reports it and it's a busy day on the forum, they still might miss it. But if 20 of us report it they won't. And we all get to keep our forum because nobody is doing anything illegal. Selling on the promo stuff from the launch isn't a bad thing (bad taste maybe) but selling the proof copy of the book is. And also it's unfair to her as an author to have it out there before the proper/final version is ready. Anyway come on whose got some gossip from the concerts for me?

If Carrie contacted the seller and told them to take it down or just reported it to E-Bay they would have to comply. I know people who sell signed stuff and they have been contacted by the celeb who signed them saying photos are copyright.

I'm surprised she put Burn on her album considering how much of a tantrum she threw when one person questioned whether she should sing it on her channel

I think it’s safe to assume that she gets given things like the Oliviers because they know it’ll rake viewers in regardless of what she’s actually doing

I think it’s safe to assume that she gets given things like the Oliviers because they know it’ll rake viewers in regardless of what she’s actually doing You wonder if it might have been given to her with the thinking "It's the closest you'll get to an Olivier darling!"
Seriously though CHF will always get good roles as a Producer will see what her fanbase is and think if we hire her, she'll bring in a lot of automatic box office revenue. I do like CHF as a performer and when I've met her she seems like a nice person. It was before a show I mainly met her when it was much quieter and whilst she may not be the greatest performer ever, she is a good business woman and knows how to promote her brand. Plus she has openly admitted she is quite a curvy woman and when she was "body shamed" by some trolls she had the guts to post a bikini photo saying " Do you think there is anything wrong with this". In an age where younger women can be pressured to slim seeing someone like CHF do that can be a positive effect.

I do think she’s a talented singer specifically, and I do really admire her promotion of body positivity in young girls, she uses her platform for good which is obviously a very good thing!

She uses her many platforms for one thing only and that is publicizing herself. If all her followers came to her productions they would instantly sell out, they do not. Typical Carrie was asking her "Hopefuls" to contactmEbay instead of just contacting Ebay herself.

That whole thing about the book, I mean by all means put the rider on it to say it can’t be resold but come on. Seriously. If you’re really THAT fussed about your novel being seen before publication then don’t give it away in a goody bag.
I think she’s a bit controlling.
