I'm now hearing it in 'Gossip Girl' voice "XOXO Carrie"
Wait Oliver's job is actually IN Addams? not just hanging around on Instagram with her?
(ooh I'm a bitch today. I promise I DO like the girl as a performer just sometimes..sometimes...)

Well this thread is certainly revealing lots about some of the members of this board!! I love Carrie and she loves me, why else do you think I get three kisses with every tweet? Unsuspecting GAY guy, probably. Because everyone in showbiz is a bit camp, Carrie hasn’t quite got the hang of picking out the proper straight ones. At that performance of TAF, after each time she kissed the guy playing second fiddle on her social media her on-stage boyfriend, he sneakily wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. And I SWEAR I’m not lying. Poor Carrie xxx This is the funniest thing I think I've ever heard I stage doored Les Mis once with a friend who loved her and she initiated an unexpected hug with me and I've felt somewhat violated ever since. In a weird we ALL are the gay on-stage boyfriend.

The blurb of her last book sounds remarkably like the plot to the Sarah Michelle Gellar film 'Simply Irresistible' but that's just me showing my age & remembering that film!!

CHF just fascinates me with her total self absorption. Her videos make me cringe and I continue to be astonished at her lack of self awareness but I can’t seem to stop dipping in to see what she’s rattling on about 😂 watched one of her ‘live unboxing’ videos where she summarily dismisses carefully and thoughtfully chosen gifts from fans with ‘thanks for this - sorry I can’t remember the name of the person who gave it/lost the label’ or when opening yet another bathbomb ‘I’m going to give this to Oliver because he likes Lush’ I wonder how many tiny teenage hearts break when they are ignored or their special gifts are passed onto some else - surely the thank you could take place on camera and the regifting/binning take place after?. This of course in a week where she is accepting gifts once more. Having made a video telling fans to absolutely not send gifts. #majorswag

So the rule is don't to the stage door unless you're bring gifts in which case it is OK. So long as you bugger off straight away presumably.

A couple of years back my daughter would have been begging me for tickets to this. I spent a particularly unpleasant couple of hours in the basement of Waterstones Picadilly at the launch of Carrie Hope Fletcher's first (self help) book surrounded by screaming teens and a few other weary accompanying parents. Now, just like the One Direction mug, the signed book has been consigned to the charity shop. She was particularly shocked recently to look at the 'Hopeful Shop' and see that Ms Hope Fletcher was flogging tea at £5.98 for 63g which, back in the day, she would have proclaimed a bargain. I suppose what I'm saying is that while I and the rest of the family looked on with some despair at our girl's choice of role model at 14, these things do pass amazingly quickly. I'm sure that at some level Ms Hope Fletcher and the people around her recognise this too and will be planning to construct her a future with wider appeal. Just as some of us have been lamenting the death of David Cassidy this week I'm sure that in decades to come my daughter and her fellow once 'Hopefuls' will retain or regain a fondness for someone who they once poured so much emotion into.

Tell me about it! I’m the lucky one that gets to accompany my now 20 year old daughter to one of the concerts. This is code for “can you drive me to London please Dad”. Whilst I do really rate her voice the accompanying soap opera & hilarious revolving door of ‘friends’ is wearing thin. Exciting update!!!! - I no longer have to go😀 I can’t have two Saturdays in a row off and I’d much rather take her to Harry Styles the week after just in case Kacey Musgraves does the support slot like she is in the US. Disappointing Update - Kacey isn’t supporting. I get to drive to Birmingham to hear the two songs I like and be one of the token Dads. Can’t even have a beer☹️.

Does CHP work at Leon across the street from Les Mis? No, really. I could swear I was rung up by someone who was either her or looked a lot like her.

(That's bitchy, I'm actually a huge fan of Fletcher snr)

Triple like. That tea scam though. The NERVE of the woman.

Carrie set to release her first solo album this Spring. No doubt following her Cadogan Hall concerts, a tour will follow.

Apparently it's 'unique covers of musical songs'. I'm suddenly very scared of the word 'unique'... 😕

An album makes sense given her following, it could probably sell good numbers if her fanbase by it. But how many albums of theatre standards can we have?

True. She's got a great voice though. I'm going to one of the Cadogan Hall concerts on the Sunday so I guess I'll find out her choices then!

With her fanbase, she is in a better position than most performers at her level to do a tour and album. She will likely tie it in with signings which are always popular to help boost album's profile.
People say her fanbase could work against her getting roles but a producer looks at her online following and thinks a few percent of those are bound to come along.

As much as (as above comments indicate) she irritates me sometimes, I started 'following' CHF because of her voice- so I'm pretty sure I'll be buying the album. As much as some of the youtube and yes, selling teabags is annoying sometimes...she's a talented performer, and I'm excited to hear her take on 'standards' as much as I am any other performer I admire.
Also I'd be really happy to support an independant producer/label as well.
So well done Carrie I say- more singing less tea.
Also respect for her Instagram post that got a bit of tabloid coverage this week about the attitude we take to women/fitness in advertising.

Carrie was right about the gym poster, going to the gym for newcomers can be hard and you do have to "punish" yourself in someways. But the woman in the photo was likely a fitness model or trainer and people of that genre thrive and enjoy going to the gym.
Carrie has been criticised for being curvy or at the very worse a bit of a muffin top but she was happy enough with her figure to put a bikini photo online and ask people if they thought she was overweight or not.
She openly admitted she enjoyed some good food and having a drink on Addams family tour but it was a long tour and and a fairly physical show so she probably burnt off the extra calories she was consuming.

I didn't see this show but best actress? Unfortunately that's the nature of having a huge social media following/fanbase in a public vote... I personally felt that other nominees were far stronger

I'm confused here. How come the show was even nominated as it wasn't in the west end or did I sleep through it? Shouldn't it be best actress in a touring prodiction.
