Another blatant post to keep this thread to the top of the musicals board!
Clare Halse and Matthew Goodgame are appearing in Guys & Dolls in Paris with Ria Jones directed by Stephen Mear.
13th March to 27th July 2019
Who fancies Paris in the Spring?

Another blatant post to keep this thread to the top of the musicals board! Clare Halse and Matthew Goodgame are appearing in Guys & Dolls in Paris with Ria Jones directed by Stephen Mear. Christopher Howell also rounds off the lead cast. Adam Denman and a couple of the other Ensemble members of 42nd Street round off the cast too! Considering the cast were kind of screwed when they were contracted until March, it's lovely to see so many of them getting work straight after, with Luke George doing Book of Mormon, Alyn Hawke doing Follies, several doing Guys and Dolls.

13th March to 27th July 2019 Who fancies Paris in the Spring? I'm tempted to make the trip to Paris, mainly because of Clare. 😂

Yes, I assume she's playing Sarah Brown.

Yes, I assume she's playing Sarah Brown. She is indeed. Ria Jones (Adelaide) Christopher Howell (Nathan Detroit) Clare Halse (Sarah Brown) Matthew Goodgame (Sky Masterson)

It'll be nice for Clare to go into a not so demanding role as compared to Peggy following two years of what she has done on the Drury Lane stage. On the flip side, it'll be nice for Christopher and Matthew to get more chance to shine.

I really enjoyed the UK Tour of this a few years ago with Louise Dearman and Richard Fleeshman. Chris Howell was in that too but playing Rusty Charlie.
I am very tempted to make a trip to Paris for Clare in the Havana number alone!

I think it would be nice if they put up a ‘reopens 2020 sign’ up Don't you mean a '42nd Street Returns 2020' sign? 😉

Chris Howell seems to be trying to play as many roles in Guys & Dolls as possible! He was Nicely Nicely Johnson in a production at my local theatre in 2010.

Everyone on here knows how much I love some Tracie Bennett, she is one of my favourite actresses on stage (and should of had a crack at Dorothy!), but I can't help but sit here listening to I'm Still Here on the Follies Cast Recording (her whole six minutes in Follies pretty much) and thinking "man, I love you Tracie, you were amazing in the show, but you stole that Olivier nomination from Clare Halse". 😢

Late 2020 as it currently stands for a tour from what I've heard.

Meant to be streaming through BroadwayHD in the near future. I'd think a DVD would be unlikely, as BroadwayHD don't normally release their shows in that format.

Well, I can quote personally from a very high authority in the know. They have said " We are in the throes of editing the recording which will have a life in cinema and on DVD and also television, all of these areas are under discussion and negotiations at the moment so I cannot give a specific release date just now" So I guess watch this space!

This gives me hope.
A TV broadcast would be incredible.
I want the world to see how great this show was.

Walking past the Drury Lane today was just so depressing. It looks so lifeless with all the windows and doors covered and all the posters and lights gone. I am so happy the legs banners at the front and the main sign still remains though for 42nd Street.

I hope they announce soon when it will be released on BroadwayHD. Soon, hopefully! How long did it take for King and I, 3-4 months?

Anyone heard anything more about a cinema or digital streaming release? Was fortunate enough to be at the final performance a few weeks ago and still miss this one terribly!

We all need to contact Broadway HD and tell them we want to watch this!
Let them know how much we want this to be seen.
