Anyone else get Eldorado flashbacks every time they said 'Marcus' in a Spanish accent? 🤣

Agreed, Carmichael being set up as a baddie so probably isn’t. I bet she ends up the big boss! I enjoyed the examination of Davidson, it was very well written. What gets me is the speed at which the police get all the evidence sorted out and the ‘script ‘ of the examination rehearsed. Not real time, surely? Quite liked the grey sweatshirts as well. Agreed. It's meant to look suspicious when she tries to move the interview away from the wider corruption investigation, but if she was trying to stop Hastings and his team from learning more about corruption she knew existed, she would have found an excuse to prevent them from being involved with Jo's interview. It might have been trickier to prevent Hastings being involved, but she could very easily have stopped Steve on the grounds he was too close to Kate who was close to Jo. If anything, it was odd that he was allowed in on it, and they had to think of an excuse to include him because he's one of the show's lead characters. And will he please reply to one of the occupational health emails? Even if it's just to say he'll get back to them. Clearly he's ignoring the emails so they can come and disrupt him at some other key moment. The whole thing is getting silly now, but it's enjoyable silliness and it's nice to have a show that people want to watch live to avoid spoilers.

Clearly he's ignoring the emails so they can come and disrupt him at some other key moment. Well the last one said that if he didn't get back to them within 5 days he'd be automatically suspended from duty. I guess we have to assume he's still taking the pills, although we haven't seen it in the last few episodes, and for someone in such pain he did deal with being stuck in a van that overturned and running about in crisis situations awfully well. Like you say, enjoyable silliness. Hope they manage to resolve everything in a suitable way on Sunday.

Never mind having a silly car for an Inspector, it's a silly car for a person with a bad back. But it does provide the opportunity for a cool looking car chase with a handbrake turn where there's a slim theoretical possibility they'll escape the police. I too hope we get some proper answer next week. I'm getting bored with them stringing it all out with no real resolution to questions and all of the bad guys getting bumped off before they can say anything. There seems to be a ridiculously plentiful supply of bent coppers and associates for them to kill-off without it having any apparent impact on their business.

I still want to see my scenario where Ryan escaped after killing Jo and injuring Kate, resulting in a major manhunt. It would've been more exciting than the pointless Thelma and Louise nonsense and half an hour no comment fest.

I thought Kelly Macdonald did a magnificent job. The intonation of each 'no comment' while her eyes told a different story.

I was convinced Neil Morrissey would have come back into play by now. Then again, maybe he still will! After all he was a man behaving very badly indeed

It's not going to end like I want it to.

I cannot believe it will all get wrapped up in an hour.

I think we might get an ending where H is revealed in the final shot and an announcement that series 7 is in preparation to finish the story. S7 will then be cat and mouse nailing the big bad before s/he can escape

Do we know that Kate actually shot Ryan? She said she in the frame, but that isn't really the same thing?

I assume she did, because otherwise the whole 'Jo touching Kate's gun as a sign of trust' wouldn't make sense if it wasn't Kate who shot Ryan with her gun. Plus the whole gun residue bit.

All that proves is the gun was fired. Not where the bullets ended up.
And how did Ryan not bleed?

My understanding is that when someone is shot by a police person in UK there is an enquiry albeit within the service. Everything in Lof D happens in super quick time.
By the way, has everyone been watching the bent coppers three parter on BBC, even more jaw dropping than LofD. Real times, real crimes, real bent coppers. Horrifying.

I watched the first one which was about vice in Soho in the 70s. More for seeing if I recognised any of the places. It was very interesting and didn't surprise me at all about the corruption at that time. I agree about how quickly everything happens in Line of Duty. Our police forces would love lab results and phone downloads to come back quickly but they have a lot to fit in in an hour.

The documentary was very good and very troubling. The fact that they never fully cleaned out all the corrupt coppers from the 70s meant they never properly reset the culture.

All that proves is the gun was fired. Not where the bullets ended up. And how did Ryan not bleed? She shot him twice in the chest at close range. If one of Kate’s bullets went through/stopped his heart, would he bleed out without it pumping the blood?

The end is in sight. Six hours from now, we'll... probably be even more confused and have more questions than answers! Bring it on 😁

What a damp squib of a finale. They might as well have had a 10-second episode saying 'it was him'. Hardly anything else happened! No tension, no twist? Unless I'm majorly missing something? Not sure that was worth investing 7 hours in this time around!
