I loved the Walker Brothers. I saw them once ... I say saw, because I couldn't hear a single note they sang due to the noise level of screaming from the fans!

He was a true enigma who very much set his own career path and made the sort of music that he wanted to and effectively turned his back on the pop scene which made him famous.
But one of the greatest voices I've ever heard with that amazing baritone.

BBC journalist obviously did no fact checking before opening her mouth. It's pretty common knowledge that the Walker Brothers were not siblings at all. (Almost as bad as University Challenge contestants who mistook Tina Turner for Aretha Franklin.) Scott was one of the great voices, and a major inspiration to Bowie. Mark Almond and many others. And Jacques Brel would not have been as big in the US and UK without Scott's covers. One of the greats.
