Once Upon a One More Time, a new musical using 23 songs from Brittney Spears's catalog is having its pre-broadway tryout in Chicago from October 29-December 1 2019. Unlike most Jukebox musicals it is not a bio but a original story using Brittney's songs.

I enjoy some of her songs, and loved Crossroads (don't judge me, I was like 13 when it came out), but this sounds like a bad idea.

I LOVE BRITNEY, I AM SO HERE FOR THIS!!
In my opinion, she is a true legend and alot of people give her sh*t for not performing live or whatever. I've seen her twice in concert and she has such star power, she puts on some of the best concerts around! I love her so, so much, she will forever be one of my favourites. I'm so here for a musical!

So apparently, the musical is a comedy that will tell the story of a book club attended by fairytale princesses and their lives are changed when a "rogue fairy godmother" brings them a copy of 'The Feminine Mystique', the landmark feminist book by Betty Friedan. It makes them question whether there's more to life than marrying Prince Charming and singing with animals.
Scriptwriter Jon Hartmere told The New York Times: "Cinderella is having an existential crisis, and she has a posse of famous princesses, and her stepmother is the main antagonist.
"These women have been in this hermetically sealed world, and then they start to get deeper into modern ideas - second and third-wave feminism - and also explore how stories are passed down to us."
So there you go. Britney's coming to Broadway!

The artwork/poster is this.
The poster does not look like anything to me. A piece of ice withy two arms at one side. What is it supposed to be ? The only thing that makes you take notice is Britney Spears at the top.

Finally saw it!
It’s lots of fun, very much a girl power/rewrite your own story kind of vibe similar to &Juliet. The choreography is slick and of course the music is great. It doesn’t quite key into the zone as well as &Juliet does, but it’s very watchable with lots of laughs throughout. Great performances, especially Jen Simard who was constantly making me chuckle.
