Laura Wade's new play 'The Watsons' based on an unfinished Jane Austen novel looks really interesting.
From a quick search online, it looks like the reviews are all pretty positive too. I don't know how likely it is to transfer to London, but I have my fingers crossed.
Has anyone seen this yet?

Haven't seen it but judging by the reviews in particular The Guardian a transfer wouldn't be a huge surprise-perhaps it could replace Rip It Up once that, hopefully, closes early !

Yes, I strongly suspect this will transfer. Sounds excellent.

Saw it last night and it is indeed excellent. I won't spoil the surprise, but it is very well done. For me, it's the best play I've seen at The Minerva this season. Good luck in getting a ticket though, it's completely sold out. I kept checking back and managed to get a couple of returns.

Dito, as I was meant to see the matinee yesterday but was en route to hospital instead. Of all the many bookings I had to change/cancel/abandon, this was the one about which I was most disappointed, as there was no option but to miss out altogether.
Do hope it not only transfers but soon - & certainly not 2 years later, as with Pressure.

More good news! I'm not sure how I can afford all this. I've got about £800 of theatre tickets on my kitchen cork board already booked for the next 15 months....

was en route to hospital instead Nothing drastic I hope, showgirl . No, thank you, @theatremonkey; long-planned elective op brought forward but I've regretted missing this production ever since, so for once will bite the bullet and pay the (Menier) price when public booking opens - even though the cast has yet to be announced.

Does anyone know what time the tickets usually go on sale at Menier? The website says tomorrow is the general sale, but no time. Cheers,

Excited about this play. The reviews are great and I love the Menier.

The website says this is 'based on the Chichester production' which is an interesting phrase. Presumably new cast (mainly?) with the same director (Sam West) but differently configured for a different auditorium?

Was anyone there at last night's first preview?
And could the title be changed to include full title and the Menier please?

Now fully sold out for the run at the Menier.
I reckon this might transfer to Trafalgar Studios after Joe Egg (fingers crossed).

The only theatre available that isn't booked up is The Garrick after Noises Off but I suspect something else is going there.

What surprises me is great reviews from what I have read, sold out and yet board members haven't seen it. Anyone booked to go?
