Now that Tony Winner Mr Redmayne, now has an Oscar and is part of a big successful film franchise. Will he ever return to West End or Broadway?
His performance in TOE was something to behold. He truly deserved his Oscar.

He was quite good on his sketch for Children in Need last night. He seemed a good sport and apparently he likes reality TV!

Eddie is one of my favourite actors, I just love him! Some of his performances have been nothing short of stunning, like Theory of Everything and The Danish Girl. I think he will return to stage, when is the issue. I can see him doing a limited run in a play either on Broadway or London within the next few years, he always seems very proud of his theatre work and like he enjoys it, but when you come off two Oscar nominations and a win, you naturally would focus on Film as much as you can.  |

He’s a rather brilliant actor who got a post-Oscar backlash, and is thus weirdly underrated. He makes really interesting, bold character choices - which don’t always work, of course, though when they do they pay off.
I just love that he decided - quite independently, it seems - to make Newt in the Fantastic Beasts films autistic. It’s so rare to have an actor make that sort of choice and just convey it through their performance instead of the script hammering you over the head with it, to the extent that people who don’t know anyone autistic in real life completely missed what he was doing.
I expect we’ll see him back on stage at some point - her certainly had a long career ahead of him.
