Worth the hype. I heard a rumour of this concert about 18 months ago so it's likely they've been trying to sort it for a long time.

Boom. Booked! Chita, here I come. I'll bring some of those electric heart paddle things, just in case.

Such a fun matinee! I really enjoyed it.
Slightly unpolished (as is the nature of these type of events) but all glossed over in the way only a star who knows what she’s doing can.The woman knows how to name drop (even if not a single person knows who on earth she’s talking about) and all the important songs are there. What more can you ask for?
The thing that struck me was that whilst her voice has changed with age, the skill and the technique are both very much there - as is the vocal power: her voice might have gone a bit (not unlike Liza’s - who had a name drop) but when it’s the right note she can still give it her all... and when she can’t? Well, I’ve learnt there’s nothing a quick shimmy won’t gloss over!
Such a treat to hear such iconic songs by the original performer live. It really made me wonder who - in 50 years (or so) - from our current roster of west end and broadway stars will be performing when they’re a few years shy of 90, for a bunch of theatre fans that won’t even be born for another 30 years (or so)?

Said exactly the same thing to my friend as we left. I can't think of anyone who in 50 years time could pull that off. Especially someone from both stage and screen.

What a bloody legend! 86 years old and can still sing and dance like a trooper. This was 2 hours of pure magic. Big band who sounded fabulous a duet with Tim Flaven and Arts Ed choir which made me cry. She stuck to songs from her shows so it was amazing to hear the original performer singing them to us. Lovely bits of name dropping between songs when telling her stories but, hell, why not? Voice was actually better than I expected it to be for her age but the most amazing thing was how well she can still dance.
And she is going to do the whole thing again later.
Loved it.

There's a reason why Chita Rivera is a legend and it was on display today. She was beyond fabulous with a capital FABULOUS!
And I want her sparkly red outfit. Halston!
And when did Tim Flavin turn into a silver fox? Woof.

Had no idea what to expect, but I think the 5 standing ovations speak for themselves.
She’s a legend, an icon, and she displayed exactly why.
Oh, and seeing her do bits of the original choreography for All That Jazz was sort of mind blowing.
