I guess this means that there is a danger of balloons flying into the audience? Or can an allergic reaction to latex be triggered just by looking at them rather than touching them? It's the latter. The Almeida received a complaint during the run of Hamlet from someone with an allergy to latex so severe that just seeing the balloons had triggered it. I asked at the box office about it when I saw Hamlet in its final week and the warning was up. I taught someone a few years ago who couldn't go into certain areas because of the danger of breathing problems and anaphylactic shock.

Almeida continue to have a deficiency in their shoe budget judging by today's promo pictures for Three Sisters.

I’m not a friend and have always been able to get tickets during public booking.

Really appreciate that david. Thanks. Trying to avoid forking out for a Friend's membership!

Just booked The Doctor; online queue was randomised but pretty pain-free - slightly restricted in the Stalls area, Madam.

I booked both for a tenner, but there was only one performance I could do for The Doctor so I'll be right at the back for that one. Hope there's someone good in Vassa, I've got a much better seat for that one.

Just booked a £5 under 25 seat for the Doctor. Its great to see the many different concessions they do. Hopefully this will mean a lovely mixed audience.
One of my good friends is a huge Almeida fan and has been wanting me to go for over a year now. This will be my first visit. Hopefully it'll be a great one!

Unfortunately, due to a back injury Samantha Bond has reluctantly withdrawn from the Almeida’s forthcoming production of Vassa, following medical advice. The part will now be played by Siobhan Redmond, who has recently been seen on stage in Top Girls (National Theatre) and in Imperium I & II (The RSC/West End).

Didn’t know Cyril Nri was in it. I saw him play Ariel to Max von Sydow‘s Prospero in Jonathan Miller’s Old Vic production in 1988. Quite an odd mix of talents and not very good.

Whatever happened to Rudi Davies who played Miranda?

I’ve always been aware that Rudi Davies was Beryl Bainbridge’s daughter but only found out yesterday that her brother in law was Luke Perry
One of Rudi’s father Alan Sharp's children from another relationship was Rachel Sharp, who was married to Luke Perry for 10 years from 1993 to 2003 and they had two children together.
