After the Old Vic and All About Eve issues last week this was as easy as anything. Only one production I know but a small theatre and a box office draw in the lead could make it difficult.

I guess just opening booking for the one production helped - but I was very surprised: I got in the queue at 9:45 and when it opened I was at number 75 in the queue and got in a few minutes later. I remember the days when Almeida booking was a full-day nightmare before they upgraded their booking system!
And right now there's no queue and lots of tickets left.

Right. No big problem. Front row of circle still available on the date I wanted. Strange as we’ve been told here the entire house was available for booking by members.

This was quite easy. Booked one ticket for each show. All done in under three mins. Excellent service

Yes, easy booking - maybe being over Christmas means it's not such a scrum? After last year's transport / weather issues I'm wary so booked a £10 seat in case I can't make it. Virgin haven't published their winter timetables yet and I was warned that the HS2 stuff means potential disruption.

Sooo... one ticket for Richard II then? or...one ticket for each show of Richard 11 SRB has always inspired a lot of dedication in his fans, he's the Michael Ball of the straight play.

I had some surprise credit so I booked a ticket for the NYE matinee, which won't be as good as when I spent Valentine's Day with SRB.

Was that the lecture I failed to make your aquaintence with? Yes! I think I pushed my way to front row in classic fan girl behaviour. It was the student next to me who said she'd read and fully understood Hamlet at 11 that threw me. Or may the slightly strange man who asked if I was going to speak to 'the great man'. I didn't, was trying to summon up courage but he looked pretty peeved and someone trying to thrust a script on him and asked to leave, which was in itself handy as they'd locked the way i'd come in and I couldn't find me way out so skulked along after him.

Full casting for Richard II (wasn't sure whether to make individual thread):
Joining Simon Russell Beale as King Richard II, are Leo Bill, Martins Imhangbe, Natalie Klamar, John Mackay, Joseph Mydell, Saskia Reeves and Robin Weaver
Big fan of Richard Mackay - his Richard III was very good in Bristol a few years back. Looking forward to this.

....I meant, of course, John Mackay. As noted elsewhere, there have been an unseemly number of Dicks around these parts recently. Apologies.

Shipwreck is in the round, and it looks like it will be a long one with a 7pm start (matinees 1.30pm). Usual seating for Three Sisters.

Pleased to see that (unlike the Young Vic) they are only putting a couple of shows at a time on sale.

Very painless booking this morning, number 53 in the queue! Got my usual £20 seats for both. Shipwreck seems to be selling well.

No problem at all. Front row stalls still available. The Almeida have dramatically improved their on-line booking in the last few years.

I phoned! Three Sisters in May. I asked if they were gonna do it funny like, Three Brothers... she laughed rather nervously I thought.
