Listening to the recordings of Lucie Jones on YouTube (there's a what baking can do as well as a SUTBM as far as I can tell) I'm actually really exctited about this casting! Katharine has a lovely voice but I can't get over her pronunciation sometimes and find her singing a bit one note whereas Lucie's voice was so impactful in comparison in my opinion.

If people are assuming Sara is doing waitress here after looking on google events, that also lists her performing on 30th May at waitress in New York.
Starting to doubt this story....

I really want to see Kat again before she leaves during half term. Surely shell be on then because she's leaving a week after. I personally love her Jenna, her acting is really real and truthful (probs cause she's done tv stuff) what are Sarah's and Lucie's Jenna like because I haven't seen them yet

Just listened to an audio of The Negative, Dawn is such a great role, and Laura Baldwin kills it!!! I dread to think what some dodgy stunt casting could do to the role....

I went to the show tonight specifically to see Lucie. We are very, very lucky to have her. Feels like she’s been doing it for ages, so at ease on stage and with the rest of the cast. Gorgeous vocals, beautiful acting, I’m just so impressed.

I think the Sara rumours are simply because if you google “Sara Bareilles tour dates” those dates come up, but the info isn’t anywhere else. But it makes no sense to me. Why would she be singing as Jenna at 2 random dates in London and 1 random date in New York? Unless she’s gonna sing a few songs from her album or something after those shows idk. danb how do you know it’s Weds that Kat is back please? I have friends over from the States coming to stay tomorrow for a week and they really wanna see Kat in the show but we were planning Tues, so might have to push it back to later in the week. |

I also went tonight to see Lucie and I have to say, she was just fantastic. Great chemistry with the rest of the cast, in my opinion better acting choices than Kat and a voice to die for. I’m so pleased Lucie will be the new Jenna, she really was incredible and I’ll definitely be back to see her again. Also, huge appreciation for Laura Baldwin as Dawn. She really nails the character and if the rumours are true I will personally lobby Parliament to try to save Laura from leaving Waitress for cheap stunt casting. A bit like a musical version of the Corrie save Deidre Rachid campaign ! Laura is amazing and, if the producers had any sense, they would recognise her immense talent and likability and keep her in the cast. Just saying. I love this show btw, it’s one of my all time faves. Night all. 😃

None of us know what goes on behind the scenes.
I did think she was a rare shining light in the show, when I saw it, and incredibly likeable.

It seems a bit crazy with this casting, it's like the Royal Baby announcement where Meaghan had given birth and it was announced that she had gone into labour. Lucie has apparently performed the role but nothing on their twitter or website about it. Kat is taking some holiday and it seems as if the fans are in total meltdown.
My only reasoned thought on this might be they want to do a photocall to show the overall being handed over between Lucie and Kat.

Well Sara said she is DEFINITELY NOT performing in Waitress so that’s another crazy unfounded rumour that people ran with to strike off the list 😆 I know Waitress hasn’t covered itself with glory in the communications dept, but it’s a lot of the fans on twitter that have fuelled this Hysteria I think lol
