Well don’t out the person you’ve overheard!! e. I couldn’t and wouldn’t. All I’ll say is they aren’t involved in the show. They were passing on what they had heard from someone else so Chinese whispers could be happening here. |

There's an audio of Lucie's 'she used to be mine' on YouTube and it sounds amazing. Sounds like she listened to Shoshana Bean singing it because there are a few similarities.

There’s a video of Sarah’s She Used To Be Mine on YouTube as well and she sounds great. She has a breathy quality that makes her Jenna seem a lot more vulnerable that other Jenna’s.

No idea because all Waitress twitter keeps saying is that she’s returning and her last show will be June 15th, and no one is actually saying when 🤷🏻♀️ They seem to be building up to this big announcement next week about all the casting changes, which I’m not expecting to be epic 😆 Lucie and Sarah both sound amazing with their She Used To Be Mines 👍 I love how each Jenna puts their own spin on the song. Lucie’s is more riffy than I thought it would be. Like a Shoshana light version which I prefer tbh because I think Shoshana s is way OTT, but that’s just me! |

This thread is becoming a bit like the Sheridan Funny Girl or the Effie-lottery one as the gift that keeps on giving.
It's certainly more entertaining than the show.
I'll say it again, if Waitress was a great piece of musical theatre it wouldn't matter which cast was on/off. We never had these issues with Cats and Starlight back in the day......
Agree with those saying social media has not helped with people's expectations and sense of entitlements to certain cast members.
Although it seems even worse in America. Jeremy Jordan seems to issue grovelling apologies whenever he's off and begs the fans to support the show anyway. Shambles.

^ Rightly or wrongly, the conversation about which performer is on or off happens in almost every thread on the Board and has little to do with the quality of the show being discussed. Just look at the Hamilton thread.
I like Lucie and have seen her in other shows- I’m just curious as to whether she’ll be on when I see it again. I know I’ll enjoy it in any event as it’s a joyous, uplifting piece.

None of the Jenna's have had a good week.
Kat has a much-deserved week off but her fans begin to think she's left the show for good.
Fans of the understudies who were looking forward to seeing them this week, have not seen them.
Lucie has not had the fanfare her first show deserved. Many of her fans did not get to see her, Waitress got less money in in ticket sales than they may otherwise have got with some notice and Lucie has probably found herself tagged in a million tweets about "where is Kat", "where are the understudies" rather than being able to read a few nice tweets about her first night performance.
It's all a bit of a shambles.

And I’ve even seen people @ing Laura saying it sucks she’s being booted off the show, when we don’t know what’s going on with that or the circumstances 🙄 |

The person who has posted the Lucie and Sarah SUTBMs has also uploaded Kat’s latest SUTBM and one from April, which she sounds amazing on, as well as a bunch of the other songs, like Bad Idea, Everything Changes, Soft Place To Land etc. Listening to them is making me sad that we’re probably not going to get a London cast recording 😭

So after posting last month that I didn't think I would make a return trip to the diner, a no-plan Saturday, getting a Rush ticket and Lucie being on meant I went back for this afternoon's matinee! Dress Circle row D, very good seat and preferred the vantage point than from near the back of the stalls last time.
I thought Katharine was great and her voice was incredible, but Lucie was without a doubt my favourite Jenna. She brought such a warmness to the role and a genuine quality. It was like she "was" Jenna. I thought she had great chemistry with the whole cast, even though she has only done a few shows. Her voice is lovely too and SUTBM gave me chills. I honestly can't say enough good things about her. The only bad thing now is that I will have to resist returning again when she takes over full-time.
In actual fact, I enjoyed the whole show so much more second time round. Laura and Marisha were great again, and instead of finding Jack McBrayer's character annoying I actually did find him amusing this time! I hadn't seen David Hunter before but I liked his Dr P.
After feeling a bit lukewarm to the show last time, I really enjoyed it this afternoon!

The legroom isn't brilliant, but the view is very good as the stage is now higher than usual and the seats have been off-set a little more. Did those seats at the extreme ends of the 2nd or 3rd rows of the stalls with the fabulous legroom ever get put back on sale tm? |
