Just had an email from Mehr! Entertainment announcing that Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is set to open at the Theatre am Großmarkt in spring 2020. Further information to be announced. Website is www.harry-potter-theater.de |

I love the fact that this must piss off Stage Entertainment greatly with Mehr! moving into their backyard with a show directly aiming at the same audiences that flock to see Stage's Disney stuff in Hamburg. And with Mehr! generally pricing their shows a bit more reasonably I could even see Harry Potter do well for a while.

Seems bizarre to be spending millions on converting the current Mehr! theatre (which is really only a concert venue in an old factory) for this when Stage Ent has 3 great theatres needing new tenants, and 1 other that is stuck with the Lion King for life!!
