They are starting to put details up about this year's event. I see they are finishing both days at 5pm whereas in other years it ended at 6pm.

I'm going to try to go this year, having missed it several times due to work and other commitments. In fact I've only been once and had to leave very early in the day. Looking forward to the line up!

I have started to see posters for this on the Underground as you go up and down escalators.
I will there this year. In fact my cousin from Australia who has never been to Europe will be the weekend of West End Live, so never one to miss out I am brining her along.

Are they not doing any seated areas at all this year? I can't seem to find any info on any.

I haven’t been for a few years. Is it bad that I’m considering turning down a wedding invite because it clashes?

Thanks freckles - I'm realising the extent of my theatre addiction when Ive worked out that I've seen 20 of those 26 shows! Not always these specific productions, but still. I may need help 😁 I highly recommend the weekend to everyone though, it's a fantastic showcase of how great musicals can be. They always have solo performers as well, I wonder who they've got lined up this year 😁🤞

I'm afraid my legs can't stand all day anymore so unless I can nab a VIP ticket I'm afraid my days at West end live are over which is a shame as they were grest fun.

If you get there early enough you can usually grab a spot on the fountains to sit. Even if it's not the most comfortable. I certainly wished i did that last time i went, even if it means a more side on view.

I sat on the fountains when I went on the Sunday last year, definitely worth it I'd say. I work Saturday's so can generally only go on the Sunday which is a shame as obviously most shows do their performances on Saturday but it's still a great day. I haven't booked my coach yet but I'll hopefully be going on the Sunday this year as well and maybe the Saturday if I can get someone to cover my shift. Heather's is down scheduled to perform on the Sunday, so I presume the line up times have been confirmed just not released currently.

No Hamilton!?

I guess if any show doesn’t need the exposure it’s Hamilton. But I agree, it’s a huge shame, as this and 42nd Street would have added to the quality, being two of the best shows currently running in London.

I guess Hamilton doesn’t need to, but it would have been nice to see. But Book of Mormon never participates either, I wasn’t really expecting Hamilton to. Thought School of Rock would be there though.

No Hamilton and no 42nd Street means I won't be bothering this year - 42nd Street got a fantastic reception last year!

I'm more surprised that School of Rock aren't performing than Hamilton. I honestly wasn't expecting Hamilton to be there. It's a shame that 42nd Street and SoR won't be performing though

42nd Street performed last year. As did School of Rock which is why I'm surprised neither show is performing again this year.

Now living in London I plan to attend this for the very first time. Both days! I really hope a fair few members here go along as it would be lovely to put some faces to names.

Would have loved to make this my first WEL but trains are grossly overpriced, and it clashes with both one of my drama performances and Edinburgh gay pride.

If I were to go to this, which day would be more beneficial to see the 'big musicals'. For once it doesnt clash with my Mam's birthday and I would love to go but I can't really afford to be in London over night.

The schedule will probably be posted at the website some time this week I expect so you can decide.

Usually it's more big shows on Saturday and soloists/ mt schools on Sunday. But as Anita said above, when the schedule is released you'll be able to decide which you'd rather see.
