I'm sorry to start another of these threads, as i know they can be quite annoying, but i'd love the input of the board! I'm in New York from April 29th - May 4th, and have currently booked to see Mean Girls, Frozen & Dear Evan Hansen. That leaves me with Monday Night & Thursday free. From what I can see, on Monday my only options are Once On This Island, Puffs or Skivvies at Joes Pub, id love to know which people rate or if anyone has any other suggestions? And then on Thursday i *think* i'm deciding between Spongebob, Come From Away & My Fair Lady. I *think* i'm swaying more towards Spongebob, as CFA has an Irish production planned, so will probably come to London or i could see it there, and i'm sure they'll be another production of MFL i can see eventually, whereas Spongebob is probably not going to come to the UK or last much longer (plus i love Tina Landau's work...) But again, i'd love to take some advice or hear other options? It's also my first solo trip, so if anyone has any other suggestions of fun things to do before/after shows let me know! I expect i'll mostly be in HK boy watching, or propping up the Piano in Maries Crisis. (also im in Vancouver the week before and Orlado the week after, so if anyone has tips for those places also plz let me know!) Thanks

I'd say not to skip on SpongeBob, of those three, and for those reasons.
Welcome and have fun!

I would say Once On this Island I really loved The Metropolitan Museum and MOMA But Met is not free . And is not as good as the British Museum. And Britain actually has the NHS and USA does not

I believe Once On This Island has a live goat, and the goat has to wear a nappy. I like to use the lack of Monday shows in New York as an excuse to see Sleep No More again, personally, but I think a goat wearing a nappy could win me over. Though I'd seriously consider Puffs as well.
I'd definitely choose SpongeBob over Come From Away and My Fair Lady, but I'm a full-fledged SpongeBob stan at this point.

Once on This Island and My Fair Lady are both 5* productions as far as I'm concerned and well worth seeing although having said that I haven't seen any of your other options other than Come From Away which is enjoyable but nothing overly special IMO.

Avenue Q has a Monday show! I was supposed to be going this past Monday but thanks to a 2 hour queue at border control I missed it.
I saw spongebob on Wednesday, I would defo choose that for the reasons you said, and also just to see the set. You can see where the money has been spent on that stage!

Hey all - Thanks for all your tips & thoughts. I think i'm set on Once On This Island - tho @baemax has reminded me of Sleep No More... and i think with the Spongebob Vs My Fair Lady conundrum i'm going to let price me my guide. I'll enter the MFL Lottery, and if unsuccessful i know i can pick up a last minute Spongebob ticket!

That Goat is a game changer, NGL.
I'm also now wondering how ethical it is to leave my Mum in a hotel room the night we arrive so I can finally see Sleep No More...(like I'll leave her food and drink and air con, I'm not a monster...)

Totally ethical and reasonable. ;-) Just one bit of advise: If you have only seen The Drowned Man be prepared for a different beast in terms of the audience. I could fill the whole Bad Audience Behaviour thread with Sleep No More experiences if I wanted to. It’s something you definitely need to just be zen about or it will affect your enjoyment of the performance.

I just found out that Ilana Glazer from Broad City and Phoebe Robinson fro. 2 Dope Queens are doing a standup show together in Brooklyn on the Monday, and it's only $30 so I think that's changed all my plans now!
