Unbelievable! Booked for this when it was first announced. Got a sat night ticket for £25 at Manchester. Bargain I thought, particularly with Kerry Ellis. Got the email today with the offer code. Not very happy! Oh well, you win some and you lose some. I was going to book the Sherlock Holmes play at the opera house, but might wait just in case an offer code is announced.

I bagged a £13.10 one. At that price I might treat myself to an extortionately priced Rekorderlig Stawberry and Lime cider and rattle noisily through Act 1.

Call me old fashioned, but how can something with strawberries and lime be cider? You can't even have pear cider. It's perry!!!

Watched this tonight at the Manchester opera house. Really enjoyed it with strong performances by all the cast. Gwen Taylor made a great lady B. First time seeing Kerry Ellis outside a MT role. At times I really wanted her just to belt out a musical number.
It was a shame the stalls where not full, even with some heavy discounting by ATG. Though the weather didn't really help boost last minute buys.

Caught a matinee performance this Wednesday. I agree, all the cast were strong - Gwen truly shone. The performances make up for a lackluster set (why was it playing in a theatre as big as the opera house??!) and direction that could do with being a tiny bit more inventive, though perhaps it's best not to tamper with a classic. Wilde's lines really hold up so well. I booked for this ages ago as ATG were doing a £15 Under 25 discount; I wish ATG would do student/under 25 discounts more... Alas...
