The Cruise - where our Jane's televisual career began - is being repeated on BBC4 next week, starting on Monday at 7.30pm. It may have been filmed almost 25 years ago, but I bet she hasn't changed a bit.

It's outrageous. Only one chap in the entire theatre is wearing a tie. 👔Frankly, I expected better from Leeds, the home of High Street tailoring. This decline in sartorial standards must be arrested!

Yes, Wakefield's most famous daughter is back on our screens tonight. Channel 5 at 9pm. She's in Vegas...with Donny Osmond.

Anyone see her on The One Show last night? Very funny. She was promoting her new series, talking abider her bunions and flirting with George Ezra

Just caught this on catch up.
Yep, completely bonkers but that Jane isn't it?
No matter what it is, she throws herself wholeheartedly in.
And the fact that she's self depreciating is one of the reasons that she appeals to so many.
She's warm hearted, a good soul.
Couldn't help but notice the number of westerners around her in the background.

Imagine you were on holiday in some far flung country and stumbled upon someone like Jane filming or just heard her voice above the local languages.
Jane I always felt is very much what you see is what you get, it's not an act. She knows she is a bit cheesy but she has had a very nice 25 year plus career and sticks to her succesful formula.

Bit of a random foe you. I saw Jane many years ago in concert at the RAH, it was when she first became famous. Sitting in one of the boxes was Bobby Crush! Those of you not old enough, ask your mum who he is.

Bobby still does panto turns as a Dame and no doubt gets a bit of piano playing into the show. He is 69 years old now I had thought he would be a bit older but he did start very young.

Bobby Crush was probably the last of a long line of light ent pianists that used to appear on British TV in more innocent times that started with Winifred Atwell (the best of the lot) and included Russ Conway, Joe 'Mr. Piano' Henderson and Mrs Mills. They all had very successful careers and also used to regularly enter the pop charts.
