It amused me, after a long day at work, that the music director for a show where children are turned into mice is... Cat Beveridge

Well I’m looking forward to this.
It can’t be worse than Hex and Pinocchio can it?

Well I’m looking forward to this. It can’t be worse than Hex and Pinocchio can it? I didn't see Hex- put off by all the bad reviews but I did see Pinocchio and I must admit, I was disappointed and didn't enjoy it.

Pinocchio was AWFUL. So dull and unimaginative, from what I can remember. Lots of black walls.
At least Hex was hilariously bad and looked good at least...

Oh I actually didn't mind Pinocchio! At least it had Audrey Brisson in it...

Ticket prices for this seem VERY high 😔 Thank you for saying this. I went to the website to look at them and saw tix were already onsale for Amex cardholders so grabbed a few. The prices seem like they always do for The National to me, maybe a few pounds higher but didn’t seem outrageous.

No £20.00 seats for this, which seems pretty bad

No £20.00 seats for this, which seems pretty bad There were lots of £20 seats across the run for all membership periods. Maybe some will be held back for public booking.

There are still £20 seats. I've just booked one for the first preview. But they don't show on the dates index page. You have to click through to the seating plan for each date and check.

There’s loads of £20 seats. I just clicked random dates and it looks like in the Circle, the last three rows on the right and left side are all £20 each and the first 3 rows of the Stalls are also £20, though it appears those seats are selling faster.

Just booked as I have an AmEx. Yeah weird that £20 isnt showing if you want to search by price but yes they are available, was about to buy one for 1st Jan but decided to go much sooner with a preview in November. Looking forward to it. Hex was awful but I thought their Pinocchio was ok, higher hopes for this one.

Is anyone else have trouble with the NT website? Lots of the booking page is blanked out including any way for me to choose my own seats and the option to choose a new date without going back to the home page. I have joined via two different browsers and looked at a couple of different shows but it's the same on each page.

I have joined via two different browsers and looked at a couple of different shows but it's the same on each page. I just had a look at Witches and didn't have any issues. Was in a queue for a few mins and then straight in. Checked a few dates seating plans with no problem.

I can't find any stalls seats further forward than row D for any performance. Anyone know whether seats closer to the stage are added at the Olivier nearer the show opening date ?
I'm sure I've sat front row in at least one NT venue at around £20 so reluctant to pay £86 for row D.

I got them in the Amex presale this morning and when I looked there was already limited availability

I noticed for Hex lots of £20 seats reappeared nearer the time so maybe people book and cancel once they read reviews. I know I’ve booked for row B and there were some in row A and C available.

Thanks for replies . I gave up looking after checking about 30 dates but resumed and there are still a few £20 seats in rows B and C left after Christmas, one of which I've booked.

I thought there was quite a gap before Nye with the new announcement today but it turns out this has already been extended and now runs until 27 Jan.

Well that's a great cast, and a solid creative team (let's hope this is a Lyndsey Turner HIT rather than MISS - I find them to be either brilliant (A Number) or dreadful (The Crucible) so here's hoping it's the former.

Every time I see her name, I'm always reminded of when I was briefly FB friends with the producer Tom O'Connell, and one day his status just said "Three Words - SALLY ANN TRIPLETT". Always makes me chuckle.

Thats a huge cast isn't it? Indeed. Cut backs at the Nash? Can many other theatres afford this cast list? I'm pleased so many folk are getting work but when the NT pass round the begging bowl then my trotters are remaining firmly in my pockets

Also when you have kids in the cast on rotation the numbers always go up.
