Same Charlotte or Brian didn't go but Chizzy wouldn't have lasted long anyway.

Oh that's a shame as it cuts down the number I like this year to about 3!

Oh that's a shame. Really thought she had the potential to be someone who did a decent run improving as she went. Should have been Charlotte or the Rev I think.
(also yeah, sorry you were spoiled but I think this thread has always been clear that's exactly what we're here for)

Poor Chizzy. Especially when you've got Ruth and Charlotte still in it. Oh the shame.

It always goes like this. The worst dancers never go out first.

As Pasha is one of my favourite male dancers and Chizzy was a big personality, I thought they may have stayed a bit longer. Ruth in particular would have a potentially bigger fan base and Anton is popular. I would have loved to have seen Brendan's face if he had gone out first!
Brian will be vulnerable as his current public profile may not be as high as others and he has a new female pro as his partner. Rev Richard may stay in for entertainment or got divine intervention.
I still think a Aston, Davood, Alex final is likely with Debbie and Joe pushing for 4th spot. Mollie or Gemma might have a good run, the rest are just there to be voted off and for entertainment.

I know I am rather eccentric (it's one of the consequences of getting old) but I think I actually enjoy the results show more when I know who will be in the dance-off and who will go out. It's like looking again at 'Murder on the Orient Express' or any other whodunnit! I don't really care much who did it but I enjoy looking critically at how they did it!
If anybody doesn't want to know who is in the dance off and who goes out then just don't read a website called 'Strictly Spoilers 2017'

The Reverend out this week thank the Lord! The dance off was with Simon.

Ah, thanks Burly. That's a fair dance off I reckon. The Rev (God bless and all that) was a trier but awful. Simon is not great, but has some relationship with the dance at least...

Simon was passable and may last a few more weeks but surely him, Ruth, Brian and Charlotte are the next ones who will go out. I hope no-one else goes out before them. Susan isn't amazing but she gives it a go and Kevin will give her decent routines plus her entertainment factor should keep her in for a few weeks.

I agree. While Susan obviously shouldn't 'do a John Sargent' and be kept in too long, I think at this stage 'Gives it a good go' and 'is entertaining' make a person deserving of staying in. Ruth, Brian and Charlotte are varying degrees of equally not good, and less entertaining (for me Charlotte in particular is so bland, the other two at least seem to be enjoying it)

Yes ,seems a fair dance off this week . The Rev wasn't going to get much better I feel, although thought the sympathy vote might enable him to stay in a bit longer.

And yet Charlotte, Ruth and Alexzzzzzzzzzandra are still in it. It's a world gone mad.

And yet Charlotte, Ruth and Alexzzzzzzzzzandra are still in it. It's a world gone mad. What?! It'll be an injustice if Alexandra goes out before the final, she's fabulous! It is Strictly Come Dancing after all, that has to play some part in it - no madness at all about the better dancers staying in, no matter what your personal opinion of their personality!

Well it's happened. Debbie McGee revealed the mother of all spoilers on her radio show this morning, before the results aired tonight. Her 'backtracking' is one of the best things I've ever heard. Enjoy.

I agree entirely. Alex must make it to the final based on her performance so far.

And yet Charlotte, Ruth and Alexzzzzzzzzzandra are still in it. It's a world gone mad. Alexandra's Paso Doble is literally the most exciting moment of the series so far. You obviously dislike her but her performances are far from boring and trying to characterise them as such is just baffling.

You obviously dislike her but her performances are far from boring and trying to characterise them as such is just baffling. I don't deny that she can get all the steps right and in the right order, just like Louise Redknapp last year, but that doesn't make her performances exciting. Robotic, perfunctory and sterile certainly but exciting, certainly not. Well not for me anyway. I can see why she would have fans on the show though. Louise Redknapp and Rachel Stevens had them too. I want to see joy and effort in 'Strictly' not naked ambition and what people deem to be 'perfection'. I can almost guarantee that I am in the minority there too but that's just fine and dandy with me.

I have to say that I hardly noticed Alexandra during the Paso - her costume and lighting combined to make her far less visible. Gorka, on the other hand, was on fire.

Tonight's result is in
Dance off between Charlotte and Davood
No surprise in that Charlotte has left the building

A good bottom two in my opinion - Davood is obviously far too good a dancer to be there, but Nadiya needs a wake up call to get her to produce some decent choreography, otherwise they'll be out sooner than they should be.
Hopefully Simon and Ruth will be the next two to go...

Hopefully Simon and Ruth will be the next two to go... I think her routines are good to be honest. The problem is she keeps including things the judges won't like or are illegal or not meant for the dance they are doing. But the routines themselves i actually like and think seem quite fresh.

The problem is she keeps including things the judges won't like or are illegal or not meant for the dance they are doing. But the routines themselves i actually like and think seem quite fresh. They're not properly the dance they're supposed to be though and that's my problem - in that routine last night there was about 30 seconds of actual, proper Viennese Waltz. In a 90 second routine that's unacceptable for a show that is about ballroom and Latin dancing - this isn't So You Think You Can Dance, where it would probably have been fine. The premise of the show has to be respected. Viennese Waltz doesn't have to be the classic romantic dance, but if you're going to modernise it you need to do it without losing the dance itself - Oti got the balance right last year in her Viennese Waltz with Danny, whereas Nadiya took it too far into the flashy floor spin territory that really has no place in any ballroom dance. It's only necessary if the celeb is bad and you need to distract, whereas Davood has a lot of potential. It's the third week in a row I've thought Nadiya's choreography completely missed the mark. I don't mind modern (I loved all the modern twists Danny & Oti had last year), but as a dancer I do mind a lack of proper dance content.

I feel a bit sorry for Charlotte. She wasn't the best but she certainly wasn't the worst. Unfortunately Brendan has the knack of making all of his partners look like rag dolls as he drags them around the floor.
