Hopefully they don’t just bring back Rebecca when ailsa leaves I would love to see someone new maybe Georgina Onurah or Hana Stewart Rebecca is going into Millennials so it won't be her. It finishes on the 4th of September

Well, something was clearly wrong for the Sunday matinee. In a world where many shows have depleted casts due to Covid (or possibly Monkeypox), Heathers actually had a full cast and ensemble for the first time I can remember in a long while.
Benjamin Karran gave an acting masterclass as JD. He was playing JD differently, slower and more measured. It is quite something to sit in the front row and watch him tear up right in front of you.
The big moment, of course, was Vicki Lee Taylor's penultimate performance as Ms Fleming. She was having a lot of fun and had even found a new souvenir for Steve to take away (he had his used boxer shorts thrown back to him). She will be excellent in Mrs Doubtfire.
Just Ailsa left now from the original cast. Depending how the change of Veronica goes, this could run for a long time.

First of all I wanna apologise for my English - I am not a native speaker...
But I am heading to London on Thursday and I am planning a 4-days-2-show-trip with Heathers, I guess on Sun mat.
So I just wanna know if they fo dayseats on todaytixx every day or only if there are tickets left. It seems quite good sold.
Thanks in advance!

My experience is they have day seats held for every performance. There might not be very many and you will have to be quick to grab one and keep refreshing if your timing is off. Going for day seats on a two performance day is a good move, but there is an extra step to choose the time when the day seats are released. You can easily lose a second or two and miss out on day seats if you've not practiced where to click. If there is only one show you can attend, you might not want to risk it. As a side note, if you really want to fit in as many shows as you can, it is possible to do three shows on a Sunday (1pm, 4pm and 7pm or thereabouts).

Looks like a huge cast change on the 4th. Ben off to Les Mis. So glad I have a ticket for their last show. Anyone else going?

That might actually tempt me to go back to Les Mis. Sadly, looks like I'll be in Cardiff that weekend, so my last Alisa/Ben visit will have to be earlier that week. The question is, will they run with a mini cast for a few weeks, or can they find a cover JD from the previous or West End run who they haven't brought back yet?

Visited again for the matinee yesterday (full cast!) and have to say that Ben gets better every time I see him. He so rarely now performs the same line in the same way across two performances. It is something quite special to watch.
Two women down from me in the front row couldn't stop talking (possibly mother and daughter, in the one in her 40s and one in her 70s age group). Lots of excitement at any flashes of skin (male or female). I don't think they could believe their luck in the second half! I found it incredibly annoying. The fan next to them, who was almost certainly a rush ticket holder like me, was incredibly patient. Must all have been so distracting to the cast.

“Big Fan Day” on September 1st. Learn choreography, sing, Q&A with a movie star, even the announcement of the new cast. Based on that, I think you can tell they’re expecting Heathers to run for a long time to come!

“Big Fan Day” on September 1st. Learn choreography, sing, Q&A with a movie star, even the announcement of the new cast. Based on that, I think you can tell they’re expecting Heathers to run for a long time to come! It does sound like a great idea, especially as a way to keep fans engaged with the show, but I can imagine the whole environment would get a bit toxic (hence, I have no intention of going). I love Heathers and the cast is phenomenal, but I've seen certain people on twitter at round 30/40/50 of the TOP run (considering that it's been running for just over 8 months, that's a pretty amazing number!) who, due to this, now see themselves as 'besties' with the cast and mention this to no end. Each to their own, but personally I can just imagine that it'd be those people at the fan event (where they are perfectly entitled to be, of course, as these are the people which keep the show open and running), which could just feel mildly oppressive to other fans who like the show a lot but who aren't in that clique. This is just my opinion, of course - I mean no offense to anyone who is one of said superfans, the ones which I am referring to are pretty much my age and I've seen them at the show on 3 of the 4 occasions that I've been there. They're super friendly, but it can get slightly grating when they're screaming to Ailsa during the curtain call in order to get a reaction out of the cast, as though they are entitled to do so as such avid attendees of the show.

is this basically their way to one-up Musicals Con by doing it themselves?

I can imagine the whole environment would get a bit toxic is this basically their way to one-up Musicals Con by doing it themselves? I love Heathers. Yes, it's bizarre for a guy in his 40s, but it always cheers me up. And, like so many shows, it took me a few viewings to get drawn in. The original cast and staging didn't quite do it. I can't imagine attending the event, not least because I can't dance or sing (plus, it's a weekday and I will have to go to work). I've almost always sat on the front row and never felt it a toxic environment. Once I had people sat next to me discussing that I should be Steve (totally oblivious to the fact I could hear them). But I am quite relaxed about attending shows on my own and the Other Palace wifi code is stored on my phone. I hope no one in the cast thinks it's weird to see the same people there (even I recognise a lot of the repeat female fans, but I guess I stand out by not being female). I still have to get my phone out and film everyone! Somehow, being primed with a phone just seems odder than everything else. I guess that's the generational thing. And I can't stage door. As close as I've got to this is running into the cast in M&S. (end random stream of consciousness)

Dr Tom! If I still lived in London this & Frozen would be my go-to serotonin boosts. They just bring me joy. (And I’m fifty in four days time). We like what we like and nobody should be taking it away from anyone else. I am looking forward to finding out the (new?) cast.

Any thoughts on who may take over as Veronica when Ailsa finishes? I have no idea but I saw May Tether as Veronica tonight and she was absolutely phenomenal - couldn't be more deserving of a run as lead. I don't know if she's said if she's staying or going but given Heathers like to keep it in the family I've got my fingers crossed! Also curious about the new JD - will be very sorry to see Ben go, he is incredibly talented.
