I think this extended summer run needs two things; more cast diversity and swings

Does anyone know the chance of this being extended again? I've got tickets for the May closing show that now isn't closing and wonder if that's gonna happen a 3rd time!
P.S. Yes to SWINGS !!!!!!!!

Very high I’d imagine, so long as it keeps selling. It’s (relatively) cheap to run, popular and they don’t need to keep paying to rehearse new casts. So why go to the expense of replacing it?

I don’t understand why they get atleast 2 swings it’s not like show can’t afford it as bringing back cast members shouldn’t be your first point of call

Does anyone think it’s weird how they turned it into a 4 show weekend after cast change? Like I get it, it makes sense in terms of more people generally being able to visit on the weekend. But when you think about the cast that must be exhausting and a quick route to burnouts and illness? They have the Monday off but that last Sunday show must be a killer

But when you think about the cast that must be exhausting and a quick route to burnouts and illness? They have the Monday off but that last Sunday show must be a killer It makes perfect financial sense. The Sunday show was selling out in advance and they don't have a midweek matinee. Plus, it's a relatively short show. I've no doubt it's tiring though. I hope the cast are compensated for the extra show. I made the 1pm performance today (front row rush). Fairly full, although there were two empty seats on the front row (not together) and other scattered around. They may well been sold and had people not turn up. I did think there was a chance of catching the whole Class of 2022, but Jermaine Woods was on as Kurt's Dad/Big Bud Dean etc. It was his role debut and unannounced. He was very good. Tom and George were on fire. Loads of new moves in the background and I'm sure they managed to do even more crotch feeling than usual (not that there's a good reason why they would turn that down). It was a very quiet audience, with barely a reaction for Ms Fleming in a Shine A Light. The people next to me were discussing possible choices for "Steve" during the interval (yes, I had good enough hearing to hear them suggesting me, although I know they would never choose someone in the front row). There were actually very few suitable men anywhere in the first few rows, but the bearded Steve they did select looked suitably surprised and embarrassed. Very good show as always and the perfect pick-me-up at the end of a busy week.

Mormon/&Juliet/Dirty Dancing all have double show Friday followed by double show Saturday. 2:22 will have the same double sat/sun schedule as Heathers too.

Does anyone know if they plan to replace Sam as Kurt's Dad/Big Bud Dean etc or if they're just going to be an ensemble member down again for the foreseeable?

Plus, it's a relatively short show. 2h45 isn’t exactly short! It’s on the longer side…

Theyve definitely tightened up since the Haymarket run then - that used to start at 7.45 and not come down until 10.30!

May Tether is on as Veronica tonight. They're also missing MJ and Andy I believe from the ensemble, so have had to cut 3 tracks from the show. Now would be a great time for swings...

Is the reasons they don’t have swings due to budgets or something as I really don’t understand why they don’t

There are literally 2 dressing rooms at TOP. Even one more person in each would push it to sardine level. They need to be standby’s rather than swings.

Looks like Jermaine and Lizzie are going into Sister Act, which explains why Jermaine is leaving after only having just joined the show!
