To take a broader view, "Heathers" was fun, but the term "masterpiece" implies that a show does something to re-define an entire genre. That would be "Showboat," "Oklahoma," West Side Story," "My Fair Lady," "Company," "A Chorus Line," "Cats," "Phantom," "Miz," "Hamilton" etc. Landmarks that re-define how musical theatre is done and what can be done. I think that is where the bear was coming from. ‘Cats’ redefined my tolerance to awfulness, so rather than sitting politely in hell I now leave if I’m not enjoying something (at an appropriate point).

It's a tour and Cardiff is on the list Cardiff & the Scottish dates are the only ones you can geographically pinpoint from the map! Think it might be playing Bath or even Swindon from the placement of blobs 🤣

Not even a 'starting from' date! 😂 June 2020 Fair. Wasn't mentioned in the WOS article I looked at, seems like something that should be in there!

I am possibly launching a ‘42nd Street’ tour next year in one of the months that has a name. I have a graphic of a glittery map of the uk with blobby approximations of a tap shoe placed at various non-geographically accurate locations. I have also included the silhouette of a non-specific lower tier Strallen in the top right of the poster to really get people chatting. As soon as I have the rights, the theatres and talent booked and the money to pay for it we’ll be good to go!

Sheffield Lyceum between 23 and 27 June 2020. I think that must be the green heart that's up from the yellow one, but down from the blue one!

Sounds like a medical condition. Needs broad spectrum antibiotics! Strallens dont need antibiotics. They've got Aunty Bonnie.

Love the map-thingy non-advertising ploy which is obvs a teaser trailer to generate a social media buzz. The daughter runs two fan sites/blogs and says the chatter is all about this tour. Some will be annoyed at this kind of faffing about but the proof of the pudding will be in ticket sales when we eventually get the flaming dates!...lol

Whoah! Them's some big stages for that set! Please do something with it Uncle Bill before you send this out. A cloth that stretches out either side of the stage with externals of the school? Some painted flats nicked from the local sixth form left over from their prize winning ‘Dracula Spectacular’? Just something...

That’s odd. Bill usually uses the Festival Theatre in Edinburgh and not the Playhouse. I feel like it would work better there. It will undoubtedly get a good crowd though, especially due to the limited run.
