I had another look at the Saturday matinee and thought it had lost a certain energy since TOP. Carrie appeared to be saving her voice for something, as it never soared as it normally does. Jamie M was fantastic. Jodie Steele was clearly not back up to full strength as she struggled with ‘Candy Store’ and well...it was all just a touch lacklustre. If I’d paid more than £25 I think I might have left unhappy. Glad it wasn't just me who thought the performances were a bit lacking- Steel clearly wasn't back to full voice i agree, and was almost totally lost in some numbers.

^Didn't you wonder what the red carpet and trumpet fanfare were for?! Don’t joke...there was a womens march going past at about 1.30 which I wondered if Emi was spearheading. A morning of militance followed by a two show day. Sounds right up her street! 😂❤️

Only because I was avoiding Monkey on the other side at Company.

Only because I was avoiding Monkey on the other side at Company. Ditto Emicardiff at Heathers. We actually hate each other. So much so that we have to be kept apart.

GO TO YOUR ROOM!
Both of you, now!
OR I’LL BANG YOUR HEADS TOGETHER!
...but seriously, what was up? ‘Seventeen’ is probably my favourite song/scene but it was so flat and devoid of any excitement it really took me ages to get on board.

Saw this again tonight and loved it. Great to see the company settled and fresh on a Monday. Was surprised though to see it pretty full with every level at 80-90% couldn’t quite see right up the top but looked busy. Also huge queue out front, right down the front of the theatre. I like that they’ve organised & structred a place to meet & sign. Works well. Also cast were talking about being relieved to have recovered from recording the album which may explain Jodie being off and reported tired performances. But seems like the album is a definite which is nice as I like the new song Carrie sings so to have that would be great.

I'm so happy about the album. I love Carrie's renditions of the songs, and, I think it's an unpopular opinion, but I totally prefer her vocals over Barrett's.

I’ve no doubt that the new recording will be excellent. Like you, I much prefer Carrie’s take on it to Barrets, but not only that, you have the rest of the insanely talented cast and ‘I Say No’ which fits so seamlessly into the score it may aswell have always been there. If it is to be the definitive recorded version everyone needs to be at the top of their game. I just wish it didn’t have to be at the expense of the casts vocal health.

Judging from Instagram stories over the weekend the whole cast were instructed to be on vocal rest on Sunday.

Rebecca Lock leaves on 3/11 sadly. Any ideas who will replace her for the final three weeks?

Finally seeing this again today, first time at Haymarket having previously saw it at The Other Palace. Decided to chance it and get dayseats, arrived at 9am with only one person in the queue, so I’m off to the matinee. Can’t wait to see my friends reaction to the show (he’s yet to see it at all) and to hear the new song that they added.

What are the chances of that eh? The upper circle & balcony are ‘sold out’ for midweek matinees from now on, yet plenty of top price & VIP seats appear to still be available. What are the chances eh? 🙄

What are the chances eh? 🙄 Don't know where you're looking but only next weeks is sold out, and that makes sense because it's half term. Plenty of availability up there for the other midweek matinees.

I wonder with the cast album we will get a tour or west end return of Heathers it has sold well over here They would have to rethink certain things if this were ever to stay in the West End for it to run. Firstly, the casting. Carrie is a draw for alot of people, if she leaves, how much success does it have. It's midweek matinees are like a third full, so they would be better off ditching the midweek matinee, as well as maybe a Monday night and instead to a four show weekend to get the fangirls in when they are out of school. Also, a smaller theatre for what is actually designed as an intimate show. It would work well at someone like the Ambassadors for a longer run.

It isn’t half term next week where I’m from so didn’t make the link. I apologise unreservedly to anyone offended by my post, and those affected by it. I just struggle to believe that the hideous gallery could be sold out. Free arthritis with every ticket!

I think heather's has done remarkably well and I am delighted for the creative team and cast that it has made it to the west end but i really don't think it will have another life in the west end. Possibly another run at the other palace but I don't think it has the pulling power to sell out a west end house for 8 shows a week for much more than the 12 week run it is already playing.

I definitely think that this deserves a longer run. Well this is where the issue lies. Does it deserve a longer run, absolutely. Could it sustain a longer run in a theatre of its current size, nope.
