Not quite sure if a play or musical, I'm assuming play? We can move this thread if not.

Yes that's him. Pointless. Why do people keep giving him so much work?

The film is such an absolute, timeless classic, I wonder if another version can possibly match up to it. On the other hand Cate Blanchett is an amazing actor, and it would be great to see her on stage.

If it's Sonia Friedman it will go to an Atg theatre or a Delfont Mackintosh.

Yes that's him. Pointless. Why do people keep giving him so much work? Roman Tragedies, Kings of War, View From the Bridge, Scenes From a Marriage, Hedda Gabler etc etc.

I was hoping that Cate would bring her 'Present' show over.

My question still stands then Why? Successful critically and, globally, with audiences. When planning a season you need draws like that.

Classic movies into plays rarely seem to work and not a massive fan of the minimalist look but with Cate onboard i dont care and will be getting a ticket asap

I am torn on this! I am eager to see it BUT the movie is one of my top five favourite films of all times and I don't want it ruined, I cannot see anyone else playing Margot than Bette!

Ooh this is exciting news, the only downside being we all already know exactly how it's going to be staged! But still Cate Blanchett. That's enough for me.
Just to be clear though we are not talking a revival of Applause! are we, I think that's a very important point. That reality is a bit scary

Fabulous news!! I am already so looking forward to this that I have invited my sister to come to London and see it. Oooh! If she accepts, is she making the voyage from Australia or Sarajevo or Inverness or Guildford?

Yes that's him. Pointless. Why do people keep giving him so much work? Why do commercial producers give anyone work ? Because they're box office.
