Don't know how this passed me by until now, but Rachel's got a new show at Live at Zedel this year:

Much as I've really enjoyed Rachel's gigs in the past at Zedel and elsewhere I've sadly decided to give it a miss this time. Unfortunately the "fan girling" behaviour of alot of the audience really puts me off.

I'm not a fan of this venue, it seems to have a huge superiority complex.
Ridiculously, they prevented Sophie Evans from going into the bar after her concert last weekend for reasons unknown, even though she had just performed in the venue minutes earlier.
Great way to treat your guests who have brought many paying customers into your establishment...

An 11.15pm start on a weeknight is just impossible (some of us work during the day!), so I'm giving it a miss as well.
I'm not a huge fan of table service during the performance as it can be really distracting, and Zedel is ridiculously expensive for what it is too.

Does that imply she won't extend in Come From Away, or maybe just take time off for the gigs?

She is staying in the show next year and doing lots of little things around it ☺
Really looking forward to the Judy show too.

I have just heard a rumour that she will be moving to New York next year, I guess to do something on Broadway? Lempicka perhaps?

^Further to robertb123’s post late last year,RT is also firstly scheduled for Big Band Broadway with Martin and Shirley Kemp as well as the Judy Garland tour. Looks like both tours will conclude by late May 2020. More details on Raymond Gubbay’s site.

I remember when Rachel was in The Last Ship she performed If You Ever See Me Talking to a Sailor on TV in America - does anybody know where I could find that recording at all? I'd really like to see it again but can't seem to find it anywhere.

I've booked to see the November Cardigan Hall concert and just wondering if anyone has any idea how long it's likely to be? I'm trying to book trains home

Enjoyed Rachel’s solo show at Leicester Square Theatre last night. She sang a setlist comprised of covers. songs off her latest album and numbers from the shows where she made her name.
A highlight was inviting Britain’s Got Talent winner (and Rachel Tucker fangirl) Sydnie Christmas on stage to duet on ‘For Good’, while it was also a sweet moment when her 11-year-old son Ben drummed on ‘Uptown Funk’.
While I was less into the country suite of songs, the chance to hear her ‘As If We Never Said Goodbye’ again was wonderful, as was the bringing together of ‘Me and the Sky’ and ‘Defying Gravity’.
Rachel was my first Elphaba and it was obvious from the audience demographics that that was the case for many others there too. A brilliant celebration of a brilliant performer. I hope we see her back in a full West End production soon.
