Louise still has a concert planned for 18th June at Symphony Hall despite getting ever bigger as her arrival date gets nearer. Last month at Symphony Hall at a Night at the Musicals type show, she was walking on and walking off after every number. I felt really sorry for her, should have given her a stool on stage.
Want to try and get to Rachel's B'ham show but won't pay meet and greet money as I think it's expensive for a fairly small venue when concert is very fairly priced.

Another fabulous show from Ms Tucker at Zedel last night - I was at one of her early shows there in March and while that too was brilliant, I thought there was an added assurance to her performance now as she nears the end of her first solo tour. She's funny, warm and sings her heart out - I really like her swing version of As Long As He Needs Me, even more on a second listen, but I think my favourite of the night was her hauntingly beautiful Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. Her guest last night was Lee Mead, hot-footing it straight from the Holby set to join her in singing their duet from the album, You Matter To Me and later As Long As You're Mine.

So Rachel was amazing tonight (but what else would we expect?). Her and Samantha performed "All That's Jazz" and "For Good" together.

Such a wonderful night last night. I did basically just cry for 90 minutes, as it was the culmination of my 'Rachel year' (it was exactly a year yesterday since I saw her on Broadway, and then 4 times in her West End return) She's just so special and it was a brilliant show. Waving Through A Window took on a new meaning that I didn't get from the CD - maybe that comes with seeing someone act it too? - and She Used To Be Mine is as devestating as ever. Lee Mead was guest and sang You Matter To Me and the. as Long as You're Mine. 💚

I only now found out that she's doing 2 concerts during Edinburgh Fringe on Monday and Tuesday. I'd like to see her (she was my first Elphaba) I'm trying to figure out if I'd manage to get between two venues in 15 minutes...Or be 5 minutes late and pray they let me in.

Well, it looks like the pianist for the show I'm seeing (Ordinary Days) will be playing for Rachel at her concert, so I won't be the only person running through Edinburgh tomorrow evening!

People will talk if you both arrive together, out of breath and slightly sweating.

People will talk if you both arrive together, out of breath and slightly sweating. That's the plan! I'm trying to find the most downhill route I can think of right now...

Special guest just announced is Emma Hatton! And it was all going so well! Ha, not starting any rows, I just don't think Emma is particularly talented. Still, this concert will be wonderful - Tucker is a superstar.

I'm sorry, I tried so hard not to laugh about Emma being the special guest, but I just couldn't help it.

I cannot believe I was the only one from this forum at Shoreditch Town Hall on Saturday night? If I was then you all missed a real treat.
I’ve seen Rachel do shows like this many times over the years but this was the biggest one yet with a 9 piece band, two backing singers (Jodie Steele and Amanda Coutts), a special guest duet-ist (is that even a word?!), Emma Hatton, and a choir of young people also coming onto the stage at several intervals. All led by the watchful eye of MD, Kris Rawlinson. It was a year ago that Kris and Rachel had a chance meeting and began to work together and what has followed has been a collaboration all kinds of wonderful.
She has the most beautiful voice, that we already know, but she also has that special something, likability, modesty and warmth about her that distinguishes her from so many others. It’s not just a musical performer stepping up and singing a few songs, it is so much more than that.
We were treated to songs from her album, from the shows and songs that are important to her and what an evening it was! About two hours’ worth of pure, flawless brilliance. Backed by a 9 piece band and the choir she has never sounded so good. There was laughter, there were tears.
I ended up sitting near Suzie Mathers who was bopping away in her seat all evening. Kerry Ellis also came and sit nearby too. It was almost too much for my inner fangirl to cope with.
If Rachel Tucker does a concert, a play, a musical, anything….. go!! Broadway is going to claim her back before too long and we might not get her back (that’s the excuse I regularly use to my long suffering bank manager, anyway…)

I was there too and agree it was fantastic, I think the weakest part of the show was Emma Hatton.

On The Road, with 7 new tracks, has just been released on Spotify and Amazon Music (and will apparently be on iTunes very soon!) and oh my it's wonderful. I've played the original version of the album to death, and these new tracks are absolutely incredible, including some audience favourites from the Live at Zedel shows and a wonderful duet with Rebecca Trehearn. I'm constantly astounded by how talented Rachel Tucker is.

Good god. I'm listening to her album now. Shes just such a talent, we are so lucky to have her! It's so good to hear her sing songs in a different style, that aren't just Wicked songs. I really hope we see her take on another leading role soon. If the one I heard a while back comes true, this bitch (me) will die happy. Her in that role, dead.
