Always associate Little Chef with visiting relatives and holidays as a kid, always a sort of treat. Once I started driving myself the Oswestry Little Chef was a regular stop as I visited my Father in Ludlow, drawn by the Olympic Breakfast, why does nobody else include sauté potatoes with their breakfasts. We used to call in there with the children...it was always half way to North Wales for us and we loved it! We all got ridiculously excited when we went on a canal boat holiday near there years later and went past it on the canal....out of all proportion to the actual event!!!

Apart from the M45, which is awesome. I had to look it up! It's a mere, piffling driveway! Has no right to be classed as a motorway. If you think the M45 is short and pointless, have a drive along the M181, which is only a quarter of the length and even more pointless. (I can't even type the town where it begins, or ends, which is hilarious!) It is, I am reliably informed, the only spur motorway off a spur motorway.

Always associate Little Chef Always loved the "Happy Eater" services restaurants myself. Not the food, the logo: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Happy_Eater. I always felt it was a real public service to explain what you had to do after eating there... I'm rolling around at your post!! Never seen that logo before, incredible. My day just got immeasurably better!

With all this talk of motorways I'm just going to point people to Pathetic Motorways and leave it at that.

Next time I have a dental appointment I'm going to pop in with some lunch for him first so I don't have to spend 20 minutes with Borborygmus' Fantasia Sonata churning around in my right ear.🎶

Torn with a perpetual dilemma for freelancers. Was today offered a sizeable project whose fees would really help me hit my goals for the year, but it is with a client who was a (manageable) pain in the a** last year.

I ended up on Ariana Grande's Twitter page earlier, grammar and spelling are doomed.

Somewhat tongue in cheek discussion reminded me that yesterday was a decent day, I found out that my play should *touch wood* be on in Cardiff in September, pending details with venue.
And very soon I get to audition a pack of actors. Is that what you call a group of them? a posse? a flock?

I went to the ER this afternoon cause my eye was RED. Like, extremely red.
Apparently I have something called uveitis, and it's related (somehow) to Crohn's disease (a gastrointestinal disease I've been living with for 10+ years).
FML.
It's not too serious though.

It is half term this week so it has been assumed I will look after 2 of my grandkids nearly every day while their parents are at work. Now my son's partner has emailed me expecting me to take them to school when they go back. Before I have arrived on the bus at theirs for 8.30. Now she says she wants me there at 7.30 presumeably to get them out of bed & give them breakfast. I've said NO!

I'm in work on a day I don't normally because someone needed to be here to babysit the electrician...the fire alarm just went off and we had to evacuate. This bodes well for the rest of my evening.

I planted daffodil bulbs in the grass verge outside my house ( yeah, you all know I’m that kind of person) and this week with the bit of sunshine they are all out and bright and look great. Planning to sow wild flower seeds all down the road...tee hee

I love when you see flowers in the verge so good on you lynette for spreading some cheer. Think you should def sow a few wild flower seeds as you walk along.

Well, it's been quite a day here in the steel city.
Tony's flypost ✈ would have been more than enough to be getting on with, but today is also exactly 200 years since the canal opened ⛴.
Huge crowds at both events and, for the grim north, incredible weather☀️.
Not bad for a city ending in d! 🙂

Exactly @theatremonkey! The only problem would be that I doubt it'd make enough money to fund my theatregoing habit!

She orders everyone about including her mum & brothers. She expects all to do as she says. [My son says she is a right b***h.]
