And Portsmouth! I'm shocked as after seeing her at the BIC I thought Pompey would be a little small for her!

I've booked! Why do pre-sales have to be so stressful? I had my password ready, watched the clock count down on Ticketmaster then nothing. Then keep refreshing for 15 minutes and nothing (no tickets available right now message) so try Idina's site and get a link straight in. Then get all the way to verified by visa and no joy! Different browser and card and finally booked!!

Was anyone else shocked by the price? I looked to book and then changed my mind at £87.50 plus booking fees!

I went to the last one. Wouldn't go again, not at that price anyway. She was ok, I enjoyed it but I imagine it will be pretty much the same show. She's got a filthy mouth on her by the way. Lots of effing and jeffing. Kids in the audience dressed as Elsa too.... tut tut

Has she ever sung A Hero Comes Home live? That's the only song of hers I like.

After her last tour I thought she should do two performances - One Frozen fan friendly and her normal show! I know a lot of people would see both. There were definitely fans in Bournemouth who just wanted Let it Go.

Always loved a bit of Idina and enjoyed a couple of her tours but there's no chance I'm paying those prices. I'd be more inclined to if some of her recent TV performances hadn't been so terrible. She clearly struggles to sing some of the songs on her new album and increasingly struggles to reach the notes on her theatre songs. It's a shame because a few years ago I'd definitely have been there.

I saw her a few years ago and definitely didn't pay more than about £30. She was very good, but I certainly wouldn't pay much more than that even now, as I've seen better singers sing a lot of her more famous songs by now.

Is anyone else actually going to this? I'm booked for Colston Hall (booked on first day of presale😂) but I sometimes feel like I'm the only "Fanzel" on this forum.

I'm going to the Glasgow gig, but I am in London that weekend and my train arrives back in Glasgow about an hour before the gig. Oops not the best timing in the world, hope there are no delays on the West Coast line.

Amsterdam concert was cancelled today. For "logistical reasons". According to someone in the Dutch musical forum only 2/3 of tickets were sold.....

Oh that's a shame, my friend was going to that gig and she hadn't seen her perform live before.

Went last night in Bristol, we'd accidentally booked for front balcony instead of stalls but the manager came up to us and offered a free upgrade because there were a few unsold seats and actually gave my mum a free ticket worth £85 because again there were a few unsold (nice to know there are still kind people in the world). Idina was really fabulous I thought, better than 2 years ago at Wembley, I fealt her voice sounded a bit tired then but last night it sounded just like the "old Idina", powerful, beautiful and unique. There was a good mix of musical theatre songs and stuff from her new album as well as a lovely cover of Bridge Over Troubled Water. Of course the whole audience went crazy for Defying Gravity, which of course was moved to the middle of the setlist to make room for all this Let It Go hype. Idina didn't tell as many stories to the audience this time around which was a shame because she's very very funny but it made room for more songs so I won't complain. I also missed her excersing her Long Island spirit and swearing away but I understand it's best to censor the show for the Frozen fans and their mothers, and it was lovely to see her inviting all the little kids on stage to sing Let It Go with her. So all in all an amazing night out, can't wait for the next tour! Also for anyone going to any of the other concerts, make sure you don't miss the support act. They were members of Idina's band - Mazz and Marika - and they played cello (or double bass I'm not sure) and violin and sang some songs they'd composed. A real treat I thought and it's great Idina gave them a chance to shine!

Can I ask what time Idina came on at? I think I'm going to be running late for the concert on Tuesday night and I want to make sure I don't miss any of her set.

I was at the Albert Hall show.
Poor Idina Menzel was recovering from laryngitis, and worked around this brilliantly by approaching risky notes cautiously, and then raising the volume confidently.
This was a terrific show for Menzel's willingness to really be present, to openly and honestly share her life. She told us of her "ups and downs," of her huge "sensitivity" that makes her hard to handle and "high maintenance." She told us of her heartbreak at the end of her previous relationship and her sorrow for "ruining [her] son's life." She told us how she had thought to exclude her song about her burning love for her child, "Perfect Story," for it's untimely "unfortunate metaphors" regarding "London Bridge" and "flames," but how she would perform it anyway, to share that love she felt with us.
She told us how her "ego" could not stomach an empty seat on the front row, and she invited fans to jump over the barrier that separates the stalls from the arena. One woman hesitated, but a young man named Jason climbed over it and took the seat. Jason was invited on stage for selfies with Menzel, while she cheekily ripped into him as to why a guy as "handsome" as him was coming to a gig alone. When a woman asked for her daughter to get a selfie, Menzel immediately agreed and took the selfie, but then let rip that the girl was not "eight" and needed to get some "independence" and ask for her own selfie: Menzel's brazen honesty in saying so making me crack up laughing.
Menzel also took shots at herself, as she laboriously dragged a chair to sit on for a quiet number, pointing out that Katy Perry or Beyonce would fly down from above as their chairs appeared magically from clouds of smoke.
Muscially, Menzel included the best song from her album, "Small World," she performed Cole Porter lying sultrily across a piano top, she covered Aretha Franklin in a storming "Rock Steady," she did a little "Defying Gravity" with the help of two massive wind machines, which lifted her hair into a Bride of Frankenstein, and she called children to the stage for the one song they wanted to hear "Let it Go," in a setlist that otherwise made adult theatregoers most happy, with renditions from "Rent," like "No Day but Today," in which she talked of her love for Jonathan Larson, and all he taught her. Indeed, she spoke about how difficult it is for her to cater to all her different fan bases, and of how useful the word "sh*te" is to avoid saying the less acceptable in front of kids.
When the kids (few and far between, at first) finally made it to the stage from all corners of the auditorium, she gave them all a chance to sing "Let it go," and when one boy missed a note and recoiled, she coaxed him lovingly back to try again. If this is how encouraging she is with her own child, she most certainly will not ruin his life, as she feared. As she explained to the kids, she is no Disney Princess, but a "Disney Queen."
Musically, this concert was wonderful despite Menzel's laryngitis. But what was most exceptional was how real and present Menzel was in every moment. I have seen many performers (I'm talking about you, Bob Dylan) give nothing of themselves in their concerts, so when a gig like this comes along, where a vast space feels like a cosy evening in a performer's living room, enchantment is unavoidable, especially in the presence of a Disney Queen lol.
